Description **Document Control Specialist - Quality System, West Chester, PA**

**Six-month Contract via Kelly Services**

The Document Control Specialist will provide quality systems expertise in support while the Quality Department moving into a new document control system.

**POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**


+ Perform all manners of Document Control activities, including, but not limited to:

+ Maintaining Device Master Record files (product drawings, process sheets, inspections sheets, etc.); processing manufacturing changes (MC) by checking MCs for accuracy, assigning change numbers, distributing documents for drafting and release; coordinating change order activities; proofreading and auditing documents for style, grammar, spelling, format and impact it may have on other documentation; providing assistance to change originators in the change control process and system tools.
+ He or she will coordinate document scheduling with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure timely production of products and timely product launches.
+ He or she will conduct department meetings to discuss quality issues, improvements, workload, issues and concerns, as required. He or she may provide feedback to the Supervisor on Performance reviews.
+ The Document Control Specialist will perform filing and support the imaging/verification process for Quality System Records.
+ He or she will perform other related duties and special projects, as required.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:**


+ A minimum of a Backelor’s Degree is required.
+ A minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality and/or Compliance within the Medical Device Industry and/or Pharmaceutical Industry is required.
+ Specific experience in corrective and preventive actions is preferred.
+ Working knowledge of 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 is required.
+ A certification in Process Excellence (e.g. Green Belt) is an asset.
+ Experience with front and back room is strongly preferred.
+ A demonstrated proficiency in process improvement methodology and use of investigative tools (Cause and Effect Diagrams, Trend Analysis, Capability Analysis, Control Charts, Pareto Charting, etc.) are preferred.
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams for problem-solving, product and process improvement is required. Organizational and communication skills providing the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are required.
+ This position will be based in West Chester, PA and may require up to 10% domestic and/ or international travel.
