**We at Kelly are hiring for a Premier Client in Nashville, TN.**


**We are seeking a Donor Donation Specialist- this is a direct hire opportunity!**


**Pay Rate:**

Donation Specialist the base pay is $21.00 +$1.50 shift differential + $2.13 on the weekends Train on 1st then go to 6p-6:30a


**Schedule:**

12 hour shifts starting at 6am/pm Rotating 2 week schedule.

o 36 hours week = Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday

o 48 hour week = Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday

1 On-call shift in this week

On-call shifts can be worked remote if meet IT and performance expectations


**Training:**

First 2 weeks are Monday Friday 8:30am 5pm

Week 3 precept with staff for assigned 12 hour shifts day or PM

Week 4 - Monday Friday 8:30am 5pm

Week 5 and beyond mirror the schedule of your assigned preceptor until signed off

Once Signed off follow schedule of assigned shift


**SUMMARY FUNCTION:**


The Donor Specialist coordinates all aspects of tissue donation authorization

from the point of hospital referral through recovery team activation. The Donor Specialist is responsible for

completing follow up as necessary.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Effectively inputs and evaluates medical information and individual family circumstances communicated

by medical professionals.

2. Works with the donor hospital personnel, funeral homes, Medical Examiners/Coroners, and Organ and

Tissue Recovery Coordinators, Processors, and Medical Directors to facilitate the consent process.

3. Supports families of potential donors. Communicates the opportunity for donation to families using

empathy and independent judgment.

4. Accesses donor registries to determine registry status of potential donors.

5. Evaluates donation potential of patients referred.

6. Authorizes donors for recovery that have been screened and determined suitable for donation.

7. Works with families to obtain a thorough medical and social history of the potential donor.

8. Communicates logistics with key stakeholders such as funeral homes, medical examiners, external

recovery partners and processors.

9. Effectively communicate and transcribe medical details and information obtained throughout the

donation process.

10. Activates recovery teams.

11. Performs other related duties as assigned.


**PHYSICAL TRAITS:** Sits, stands, walks, reads, writes, and types. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.


**QUALIFICATIONS:**

JD.500.015 - Donor Specialist 2 Education Required: A minimum of a two-year degree in a health-related field, nursing or paramedic/EMT certification


**Experience:** 1+ years in a health-care related position including use of medical terminology Demonstrated excellence in intrapersonal skills along with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to exercise independent judgment, and multi tasking


**Licenses/Certifications:**

RN or LPN desired. Computer Skills: Proficient knowledge of computers to include Microsoft Office, strong data entry

and typing skills required.
