**Overview:**


Built upon a foundation of world-class analytical capabilities, our client delivers efficient process development, clinical and commercial cGMP manufacturing services for mammalian, microbial, and cell therapy programs. Now seeking a Downstream Process Development Scientist -II to be responsible for supporting downstream process development and manufacturing activities and will conceptualize, propose and execute the evaluation, development and implementation of new downstream technologies in a **fast-growing, team-based, collaborative** and dynamic cGMP manufacturing facility. **Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:**


+ Ability to provide oversight of late-stage process characterization studies.

+ Responsible for independent problem solving. Specialized in at least one discipline that is directly applicable to the job function

+ Execute components of a project and focus is on meeting deliverables.

+ Ability to provide oversight of late-stage process characterization studies.

+ Responsible for producing high quality documentation and client reports suitable for publication and regulatory requirements.

+ Hands-on cGMP manufacturing and provide technical support for clinical manufacturing and product testing.

+ Works toward developing a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theory; may provide technical leadership in the group, may serve as in-house advisor on key scientific discipline areas.

+ Advise management on program status.

+ Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.


**Education/Experience Requirements/Competencies** **:**


+ Legally authorized to work in the job posting Country.

+ B.S. degree and 11 years of related experience; M.S. and 9 years of related experience **OR** Ph.D. and 2+ years related experience in a scientific discipline.

+ Experience in late-stage Process Characterization is required

+ Execution of design of experiments (DOEs) is required
