Title: Systems Engineer



Position Description:





Position Responsibilities Develop and document Dash Systems*- level architecture and design using a Model Based Engineering Approach and tools. Develop, support, and lead the execution of systems-level concept of operations system and subsystem requirements, and system level verification. Conduct system level analysis, architecture and requirements trade studies Support program related projects to develop the system simulations Prepare and required documentation, including specifications and verification reports Work with the cross-functional teams to cascade realistic and true targets to deliver quality and value to the customer and company. Develop innovative cross-functional solutions that deliver the vehicle targets for cost, weight and performance and meet the customer needs and expectations. Drive trade-off discussions in the Systems Engineering Reviews Develop new methods for system optimization and drive into the engineering process. (*Dash Systems: Dash/Cowl, Front Floor, Cockpit, Wiring, Electrical Modules, Steering Column, Pedal Box, EBB, Dash Insulators, Interface of the Dash with Underhood Components, Safety, NVH, Durablity, Corrosion)






Skills Required:





SE/BSME/BSEE with 2 yrs Automotive Experience The candidates will have experience in system architecture development and process, requirements derivation following a structured engineering processes based on the use of trade studies to drive architecture, requirements, and design. Experience in Dash Systems and Architecture Modelling Experience Modelling Automotive Systems or Integration of Multiple Systems into a vehicle. Experience with SysML Optimization background in Mode Frontier and/or HEEDS Experience managing, creating and verifying Requirements Experience with IBM DOORS, Rational, ReUSE, Dassault Stimulus, Polarian, MagicDraw Experience with MBSE Tools Experience with Tom Sawyer, CAESAR, Phoenix ModelCenter, Maple MBSE, OpenMBEE






Skills Preferred:





Master's degree, preferably in Systems Engineering Prior experience in design and release of Interior Trim, HVAC, Electrical, Exterior Ornamentation, Chassis or Body Structure with working understanding of the product development process. Strong analytical and strategy skills Demonstrated ability to concisely frame complex product & business scenarios, including development of succinct recommendations Ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams. Communicate complex systems, issues and resolutions in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work collaboratively to reach to creative decisions that are mutually acceptable to multiple engineering and support teams.






Experience Required:
