**EHS & Sanitation Supervisor (direct hire, Miami Lakes, FL)**


**Overview:** Kelly Services is seeking a motivated, hardworking individual to join our clients team as an EHS & Sanitation Supervisor. This is a direct hire role with an innovative and vibrant global science-based company specializing in R&D and manufacturing of unique, safe and efficacious proprietary ingredients.


This position provides environmental, health, safety, facilities, security, and compliance with regulatory policies. Under general supervision, this individual is accountable for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations and third-party certifications, while providing leadership for the Sanitation Program and EHS activities. This includes hands-on participation; direct supervision of sanitation program, evaluating and clarifying EHS objectives and targets with site leadership; internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of applicable regulatory requirements. Position is directly responsible for EHS and third-party agency compliance & improvements by assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; assuring closure of related action items on a timely basis; completion of required EHS training for personnel; supporting site teams during crisis; creating a strong EHS culture that engages all levels of associates. This position is also responsible for assisting the Director of Quality with tasks as directed.


**Responsibilities**


+ Supervise sanitation employees to maintain complete sanitation at the facility.

+ Develop, implement, and communicate policies, procedures and standards while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and organizational objectives.

+ Ensure all work processes follow OSHA, EPA and FDA GMP rules and regulations to support a variety of clients facilities to include sensitive environments such as GMP, Life Sciences, and Healthcare.

+ Identify EHS regulatory requirements applicable to the operations scope of work.

+ Establish a regulatory calendar to assist in complying with the identified regulatory obligations.

+ Coordinate and assist in the timely preparation of reports, metrics, or other deliverables required by regulatory agencies.

+ Support the operations team in the proper investigation of EHS incidents, the identification of root cause(s), and the development of corrective and prevention actions.

+ Develops and conducts employee health and safety training programs. Develops and implements refresher training for various health and safety topics as required by the regulations.

+ Conducts regular walkthroughs and yearly self-assessments of assigned facilities and conducts employee health hazard exposure monitoring to ensure compliance. Makes recommendations to site management based on results.

+ Updates site management on new or changed regulations in a timely manner. Makes recommendations to site management on feasible solutions and alternatives for compliance with these regulations.

+ Assists with the training and implementation of GMP procedures including proper gowning, sanitation, contamination prevention and good documentation practices.

+ Assists with the implementation and training of disinfection practices, cross contamination, and CDC guidelines.

+ Ensure SDS are maintained and readily accessible.

+ Continually maintains an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge, and preparedness across the company to create a culture that prioritizes safety.

+ Assist in all Government Inspections.

+ Assists the Director of Quality with tasks as directed.


**Experience**


+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification

+ Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8 years) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

+ Experience with GMP environment, Life Sciences, and Healthcare settings highly preferred.


**Skills**


+ Knowledge of US EHS regulations, OSHA standards, EPA, FDA, GMP and other applicable regulations.

+ Knowledge of laboratory and hazardous waste regulations to include hazardous chemical/biohazard storage and disposal regulations.

+ Strong presentation skills and the ability to provide effective training.

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental safety inspections.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Good judgment and business acumen.

+ Ability to work on a flexible schedule.

+ Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
