Description Kelly Engineering has a contract to hire opening for an experienced Electronic Design Engineer or Designer. Our client is a great company in the Philadelphia area manufacturing Pharmacuetical equipment. Please take a look at the following description and let me know if you are interested in learing more.

**Summary:** Provide electrical engineering drawings, parts list, and documentation. Support functional testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements. Applies EPlan design software to create electrical schematics and other documentation.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations to meet the ongoing needs.

+ Design of control systems and power panels in accordance with NEC, CE and corporate standards.
+ Ensure at all times the technical integrity of the electrical part of our equipment.
+ Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. (International & local codes)
+ Ensure at all times safe operations through proper design of protection systems.

+ Coordinate with Production, Quality Management and Engineering to resolve any electrical issues.

+ Identify long-lead purchased items and prepare sufficient information, in a timely fashion, order material.
+ Review drawings prior to releasing to shop. Make sure they agree with mechanical design and customer requirements.
+ Make sure drawings are functional to allow the electrical department to do the job efficiently.
+ Implement and manage project changes to achieve project deliverables.
+ Work with other engineers and shop personnel to ensure projects are done at a high level on-time delivery support and on budget.
+ Write functional specifications, sequence of operations, and system installation instructions.
+ Perform service calls on projects as company needs.
+ Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
+ Investigate customer complaints, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend remedial measure.
+ Travel to customer or vendor sites and affiliated companies is a requirement.
+ The attendance in committees such as safety or building committees can be determined mandatory by the management.
+ Ensure that there exists within the electrical team an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations.
+ Work to implement quality system.
**Supervisory Responsibilities:** This job has no Supervisory responsibilities.

+ **Education and/or Experience:**

+ Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor or Associates)
+ 2 years + experience
+ Troubleshoot electrical control systems.
+ Good knowledge of process control systems and electrical code standards.

+ Strong knowledge in P&ID
+ Hands on experience in selection of process instruments (Pressure, Level, Flow & Temperature)
+ In-depth knowledge Electricity, in low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage installations
+ **Qualities:**
+ Works collaboratively with other project team members to complete project goals.
+ Demonstrates and promotes the company’s values within the electrical team.
+ Represents the cooperation to the public in a manner that will enhance personal as well as corporate reputation.
+ Enforces that the work performed is in accordance with NFPA 70/NEC and UL-508A and CE, codes and standards.
+ **Computer Skills** :
+ Microsoft Windows
+ AutoCAD
+ EPlan
+ SAP as needed

Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
