Kelly Services is currently looking to hire a **Instrumentation and** **Electrical Engineer** to work on contract for one of our top Medical Device clients on-site in **Rochester, NY** . This is a long-term contract opportunity.


The **Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer** will analyze and correct electrical problems, repair and overhaul equipment and controls. They will maintain, repair and calibrate instrumentation systems. May install, repair and maintain all types of plant equipment, piping and utility systems associated with the operation of a Chemical Manufacturing facility.


This company has multiple SCADAs (HMIs) DCS, and PLCs in different versions of the Software:


+ Modicon with Concept Software language

+ PLC Rockwell

+ FactoryTalk with Plantpax

+ Wonderware different versions

+ Maple

+ DeltaV-Live and DeltaV-Control studio with PCSD Library

+ All connected to a PI-Server for trending

+ Different Network structures and Servers in the background


**Key Responsibilities:**


+ Occasionally assists in the field when Instrumentation/Electrical Technicians (I/E Techs) need subject matter knowledge.

+ Provides process control instrumentation engineering troubleshooting, optimization, and reliability skills to the plant site. Also, support the I/E-Techs in their Preventive Maintenance Tasks, if needed.

+ Participates in process hazard analyses in associated discipline to ensure health, safety and environmental soundness of our operations.

+ Responsible for manufacturing support including process troubleshooting, optimization and cost reduction based on strong technical and economic understanding of the process control systems and chemical processes.

+ Develops instruments and control instrumentation specifications.

+ Plans and executes engineering and development projects, CARs, and studies.

+ Supports other engineering projects using I C expertise and experience.

+ Assists in evaluation of process changes with respect to management of change as well as maintenance and capital projects.

+ Participates in the MI program I C-part, procedures, implementation and reviews.

+ Develops an understanding and participation in all phases of plant operations including utilities, unit consumptions, budgeting, maintenance, outages, etc.

+ Prepares capital cost estimates and evaluates project economics.

+ Prepares capital appropriations, requests CAR for approval process-capital investment.

+ Develops, designs and implements control logic for DCSs, PLCs and other stand-alone controllers

+ Develops, designs and implements operator interface software for process controls.

+ Implements multiple small scale I C capital projects ranging from 25k to 250k as needed including project schedule, budget, and cost control.

+ Follows or assist project construction, operator training and project startups to ensure that design performance specifications are achieved.

+ Performs commissioning and construction packages for projects.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.


**Requirements:**


+ AS in Electrical Technology or equivalent and 10 years related experience OR BSEE degree or equivalent and five years related experience

+ Experience implementing and/or working with some of the above-mentioned systems SCADA, PLC, DCS is required for this position.

+ Experience in programmable logic controllers or distribution control systems and operator interface software in a chemical manufacturing or process industry.

+ Must have a demonstrated ability to apply process control engineering skills to accomplish high process on- stream factors

+ Must be capable of sustaining controls and instrumentation operability.


**Preferred:**


+ 15KV and 480V power distribution equipment and process analyzers.

+ In-depth knowledge of the National Electric Code and be familiar with hazardous classified electrical installations.

+ Independent and flexible work

+ Ability to analyze large amounts of data in excel
