**Job Summary:**


To perform skilled level electrical work in installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, equipment and fixtures, programming, calibration, adjustment, and design change to insure quality, safety, and cycle time of the machines in compliance with the Quality Policy.


**Major Responsibilities:**


+ Inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul electro-mechanical and solid state electrical equipment, using a variety of test equipment, meters, powered and non-powered tools and equipment.

+ Install new electrical and electronic equipment and electrical wiring according to the National Electrical code and company electrical standards.

+ Perform PLC (Omron) and Robotics programming/ Program changes on new or existing machines.

+ Maintain records of history of modification on machines.

+ Head up kaizen activities and implement kaizen improvements as assigned by PE leader.

+ Make recommendations to improve efficiency of operations through continual improvement.

+ Maintains good communication with team members and other related internal departments.

+ Operate forklifts and other machinery as necessary.

+ Recognizes and corrects potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions and report to management.

+ Ensures all work performed meets required codes (OSHA, federal) and in accordance with company policies.

+ Utilizes appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves and aprons.

+ Maintain 5S Standards and responsible for proper care/cleaning of tools, parts, materials and work area.

+ Understand and consistently comply with company policies and procedures.

+ Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.


**Minor Responsibilities:**


+ Requires effective communication and involvement with all internal associates/departments and related outside resources.

+ Requires teamwork and participation of company activities such as IATF 16949, ISO9001, ISO14001 and Employee Involvement.

+ Requires shift work and overtime.

+ May require some travel.


**Qualifications for the Job** :


+ Requires High School Diploma or GED equivalent

+ Must have 2-Year Technical Degree and/or 10 years maintenance experience in an automated environment


**Key Competencies:**


+ Omron PLC programming knowledge and be able to program Omron PLC.

+ Methods, equipment and materials used in electrical trade

+ Fault analysis of hardwire relay logic and equipment control circuits in automated production line.

+ Must be able to effectively communicate maintenance process/problems.

+ Must have excellent electrical and some mechanical skills ?Must be able to fabricate and modify parts as necessary.

+ Must be proficient in programming and teaching of Robotics and Servos

+ Must be able to effectively communicate problems /processes in both written and oral formats.
