Kelly Engineering Resources has an outstanding **contract opportunity for an electro-mechanical test technician** . This position is with an electronics manufacturer located in Waukegan, IL. Our client was awarded a major contract to build electromechanical robotic devices that aid in the fight against Covid-19. They offer a supportive and professional culture. **In this role you will support the assembly of new electro-mechanical robotic devices**




+ Write test procedures and develop test plans.

+ Troubleshoot complex electronics using schematics, test equipment and standard troubleshooting techniques.

+ Troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies and systems.

+ Test component functionality of SMT or thru-hole boards used in the robots.

+ Configure and maintain necessary hardware and operating system environments as needed to complete production and testing of products.

+ Provide technical support on products, operating systems and test software.

+ Prepare reports on test results and resolve problems as needed.

+ Monitor and update test processes.

+ Participate with development engineering on defining tests for new products.

+ Support Continuous Improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process and product improvements.

+ Develop and document processes and procedures.

+ Capture and analyze parametric data to improve product quality and reliability.

+ Design fixtures that may be required to facilitate product testing.

+ Responsible for implementing and complying with all ethical and legal compliance requirements.

+ Other duties & functions may be assigned to this position as needed.

+ Follow ISO/9001/14000/13485 documentation procedures



**Requirements:**




+ Electrical Engineering Associates degree or equivalent.

+ Two or more years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment including:

+ Component level troubleshooting printed circuit boards.

+ Using and understanding schematic and layout files used for troubleshooting/repair.

+ Hand soldering of both thru-hole and surface mount components is a highly preferred.

+ Electro-mechanical systems level troubleshooting and repair experience is a plus - will train if you have relevant board experience.

+ Excellent interpersonal skills including strong verbal and written communication skills required.

+ Strong problem definition/solving skills required.

+ Test lab experience a plus
