**JOB TITLE:** **Engineering Project Manager**

**WORK LOCATION:** Kalamazoo, MI

**DURATION:** 6-12 Months (Temporary / Contract)


Assist in management of multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. Evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. Lead engineering projects; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; identify and resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Manage ongoing relationships with external contractors so that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service. This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires professional mastery of a specialized field of expertise that typically requires a college degree or equivalent. The job requires professional knowledge gained through substantial applicable work experience, to supplement formal knowledge, in order to apply principles and concepts of own subject/technical discipline in resolving issues as they arrive. The job requires attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. This job typically requires a degree or equivalent and a minimum of 4 or more years experience.

**Project Manager** - Electronics/PCBA The role for the Manufacturing Transfer team is to complete all the required activity to transfer operations from to production facilities or Contract Manufacturers- following the Quality and Manufacturing transfer procedures.

**Project information:**

Project involves coordinating project plan with a Electronics/PCBA house that will supply components for assembly into products


The Project Manager will successfully lead an engineering team to execute various tasks within the manufacturing transfer process per associated timelines, quality requirements and budget.

Executes assigned project elements with an emphasis on working with current suppliers to understand how components and sub-assemblies are manufactured, review validation documents, conduct Supplier Quality evaluations in order to plan the transfer of manufacturing process to new suppliers.

Assume overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.

Define and clarify project scope while developing and maintaining the project schedule.

Ownership for managing and reporting project progress.

Work closely with other functional areas of the company to drive successful project implementation.

Actively engage with Manufacturing Operations to evaluate existing process layouts in terms of new process integration, ensuring best utilization of floor space, minimized handling and optimum process flow.

Travel to meet with suppliers within United States and possible International travel ~20-40% Preferred


Demonstrated Leadership, Project Management and Engineering experience in an FDA regulated environment (preferably Medical Device) or regulated industry beneficial.

Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, ability to plan, organize and implement concurrent tasks.

Will have demonstrated an ability to define project risk and to effectively manage project

Risks with Medium to High level proficiency in MS Project or other PM programs.

Supplier Quality Engineering/auditing experience preferred

5 years experience with Managing large projects (across multiple vendors, countries beneficial)

Experience in manufacturing operations including process flow a plus .

Experience of GD&T, Process mapping, statistical methods and process/ product validations

would prove beneficial.

Experience with managing Manufacturing transfer projects very beneficial

Familiarity with PPAP, control plans and validation would be beneficial

High level of PC Skills required. (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project).

**Preferred Experiences:**

Experience in manufacturing and final testing of medical device products.

Experience in Electronics/PCBA .

Previous experience at a production site highly preferred.

**Required Qualifications:**

B.S in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial preferred) or related engineering discipline with minimum 5 years work experience

PMP or some PM certification required

**Hours:** 8am 5pm
