Description **Equipment Maintenance Technician Job Summary**

Our company is looking for an Equipment Maintenance Technician with 3+ yrs. experience in setup, maintenance, and repair of food packaging machines. Or alternatively Pharmaceutical packaging machines. Working in cooperation with our Production Manager and Engineer, the Equipment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on facility equipment in such manner to minimize downtime and will schedule preventative maintenance for planned downtime. The ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the manufacturing process is highly desirable. All work will be done in compliance with FDA and OSHA safety rules and regulations. **Equipment Maintenance Technician Responsibilities**

Setup and adjust equipment for optimal performance.

Schedule and perform preventative maintenance during planned downtime.

Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, rebuild, or replace equipment components as appropriate.

Respond quickly in the event of breakdowns, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocols.

Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies and order as needed.

Complete inspections of equipment and adjust schedule of parts replacement as appropriate to minimize downtime.

Identify and implement opportunities for continued improvement of manufacturing processes.

Coordinate work performed by outside vendors.

Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary.

Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
