Description **_Environmental Day Lab Technician, Palmyra, MO_**

Kelly Services is currently seeking an **_Environmental Day Lab Technician_** for one of our top clients in Palmyra, MO.

**Projected Duration** : 03/27/2018 to 09/28/2018 (possibility of extension)

**Type** : Contract

**Pay Rate** : $15/hr

**Shift:** M-F, 6:00a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

**Responsibilities:**


+ Collect samples, prepare samples for analysis following documented procedures and use standard lab techniques to take analytical measurements.
+ Analyze process water, waste water and effluent samples.
+ Establish proficiency in data management systems (LARS) used for analysis reporting.
+ Monitor and review instrument controls
+ Wash glassware and sample collection equipment and prepare workspace for next day analysis.
+ Active participation in EHS initiatives and compliance; including adherence to established safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
+ Perform other job duties as assigned.
**Job Requirements:**


+ Interest in working in a laboratory, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for a full 8-hour shift.
+ 4 or more hours in college chemistry or a High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in jobs requiring multi-tasking and following detailed instructions.
+ **Prefer:** 6 or more hours in college chemistry or prior laboratory experience.
+ This is a high paced work environment where there is daily interaction with team members within the department and operations.
+ It is expected that the person will quickly learn to prepare samples according to written procedures, analyze data, document results accurately, and understand the instrumentation utilized within the laboratory.
