Description Overview of Responsibilities:

Core Technical Responsibilities:
? Develop programs for all types of electronic controls and integrate into mechanical systems
? Design/develop electrical circuits
? Design, program, or modify existing production electrical systems as continuous improvement projects
? Debug electrical systems and maintain in-house automation systems
? Give direction to the machine builder and design engineer as to what electrical specifications are required

Project Management Responsibilities:
? Manage multiple automation projects while maintaining the budget and timelines to meet customer expectations
? Work as an integral member of the automation group to develop automated electrical products to a production status which include designing, programming, and debugging electrical systems
? Communicate and give updates to the Program Manager/Manufacturing Engineer on automation projects regularly
? Quote electrical design concepts for automation systems that meet customer’s requirements
Manufacturing Support Responsibilities:
? Interact with the quality and MIS departments to integrate quality assurance procedures/processes to support the manufacturing process
? Help develop and execute IQ,OQ, and EOQ validation reports for all automation projects
? Develop electrical documentation and procedures for all automation projects
? Provide technical support and training for production personnel
General Responsibilities:
? Maintain a high level of efficiency and knowledge of all OSHA machine guarding and robot guarding standards.
? Design and program electrical circuits per ANSI/NIOSH/OSHA/UL codes and regulations
? Responsibility to protect Client confidential information and Intellectual Property
? Follow safety requirements as outlined in the safety manual
? Perform other projects and duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

? 4 year technical degree preferred with previous experience or 2 year degree in the electrical/mechanical field and 3 to 5 years related experience
? Strong project management skills
? Demonstrate leadership experience

Required Qualifications & Skills
? Comprehensive knowledge of electrical control design
? Comprehensive PLC programming experience; AB preferred
? Comprehensive knowledge of programming robotics and other motion controls
? Comprehensive electrical CAD design experience; AUTO CAD Electrical preferred

Other Qualifications and Desired Skills:
? Ability to multitask and effectively manage multiple projects/task simultaneously
? Strong problem solving and troubling shooting abilities
? Knowledge of general manufacturing practices
? Effective communicator and human relation skills
? 3-D Solid Modeling experience; Pro/E Wildfire 2 preferred
