Description **Kelly Services Engineering division has an immediate opening for a Lead Quality Engineer / Technician located in the Aurora, IL area. The role is with a steel tube manufacturer with customers in the automobile, Motorcycle and ATV industry.**

**JOB SUMMARY:**

Help plan, direct and oversee activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for raw materials, manufacturing processes, and finished products.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**


+ Participate in internal/external auditing of Quality Performance.
+ Participate in process/product analytical analysis, APQP, PFMEA, PPAP submissions, and corrective actions.
+ Monitor and measure supplier performance and drive appropriate action.
+ Evaluate and approve supplier submitted FMEA’s, PPAP’s and corrective action for non-conformances.
+ Lead root cause investigations into internal and customer non-conformances and oversee corrective action implementations.
+ Participate in ISO 9001-2015 activities.
+ Participate in company’s continuous quality improvement activities.
+ Responsible for gauge control activities.
+ Formulate or assist in formulating quality control policies and procedures when required.
+ When appropriate, serve as company liaison for customer and supplier related quality activities.
+ Assist in writing and/or reviewing SOP’s for job activities.
+ Ability to be self-directed, while working in a team environment.
**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Provide assistance in other areas of quality control, such as process control evaluations and improvements, inventory containment/disposition of supplier and or internally produced nonconforming product. A basic understanding of metal forming is a plus.

**EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE** :


+ AIAG ‘ _Core Quality Tools_ ’ Certification.
+ Five years manufacturing experience, preferably in metals related industry.
+ Two years quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication skills.
