Today, we are proud to offer TWO Temp to Perm R&D Analytical Chemistry positions in Petaluma, California with our client, a leader in the Pharmaceutical, OTC and personal care industry._



_The_ **_Analytical Chemist I & II_** _position(s) will be responsible for some very exciting R&D analytical Chemistry early phase work with a wide variety of medical and or therapeutic topical creams and lotions in gel, liquid and semi-solid forms._



**Chemist I** _$21-$23/hr._



Minimum of a BA in Chemistry with HPLC, PH, Viscosity (0-2 Years GMP Chemistry, Minimum Experience)





**Chemist II** _$25/hr_ .



BA in Chemistry with HPLC, GC, FTIR and SOME Synthesis along with (3-5 years GMP Minimum Experience)



_Our client in Petaluma, CA 94954 is doing some very exciting R&D analytical Chemistry early phase work with a wide variety of medical and or therapeutic topical creams and lotions in gel, liquid and semi-solid forms. The training is six months, so they definitely want to make an investment in you and have you as a permanent member of their team._

**_POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:_**



** Independently performs and documents laboratory work**



** Provides technical inputs and designs experimental laboratory plans**



** Prepares reports for laboratory test results**



** Communicates with project teams**



** May supervise and train**



** Performs physical, wet chemical and instrumental analysis**



** Identifies problems and provides preliminary troubleshooting for analytical methods and equipment**



** Interprets data and compares data to established specifications or anticipated trends**



** Assists in experimental design and protocol development**



** Prepares reports for laboratory test results**



** Effectively communicates with supervisors on project status and problems encountered**



** Performs accurate calculations and documents work in compliance with GLP/cGMP and company procedures**



** Performs peer review of data for other staff members**



** May provide training, supervision and scheduling assistance for Technicians and other Chemists in skills they have mastered**



** Assists in laboratory safety programs**



** Works in accordance with established procedures and establishes new procedures**





**_PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS_** _:_



** Knowledge of laboratory apparatus and equipment**



** Good laboratory technique**



** Safety minded in performance of duties**



** Ability to work in accordance with written procedures**



** Effectively communicates with Supervisor and team members**



** Quality minded with ability to perform work with accuracy and in accordance with established procedures**



** Organized and able to perform duties in a timely manner**



** Must have sufficient manual dexterity to perform laboratory testing in a manner that provides precise and accurate results and works in a safe manner**



** Vision must be suitable for performing detailed inspections**



** May be required to move items weighing up to 25 pounds**



** May be required to stand for long periods of time to perform laboratory work**



** Individual is required to wear and use appropriate protective equipment in laboratory areas**



** Must be able to work with standard laboratory chemicals under normal safety precautions**



** Must be able to work with computers and general laboratory instrumentation**



**_EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:_**



**Minimum: A Degree in scientific field with 1-4+r years experience in a laboratory environment**



**Preferred: Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related scientific field with exposure to laboratory environment in educational background**
