**Job Description**


As liaison between the tiers of leadership and staff, the

candidate maintains the direction and pace to meet mission objectives,

works together with Program Directors to articulate and monitor

organizational performance, and maintains the fiscal well-being of the

organization; while staying abreast of the changing needs of organizational

internal and external stakeholders. Focus is on making the office run

smoothly and supporting the executives to enable them to be successful.


Responsibilities

Examples of EA duties assigned to this position:

- Ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the Executive office.

- Preparing read-ahead materials and briefing materials for each meeting, conference and briefing attended by the

Executive Director/Deputy Executive Director.

- Managing the Executive Director/Deputy Executive Director's calendar schedule for all meetings, conferences

and briefings as assigned.

- Drafting memoranda, meeting invitations, and other written correspondence.

- Answering incoming calls and directing callers to appropriate team members.

- Providing assistance as OSDBU's central point of contact (POC) on critical administrative matters.

- Preparing materials and documents for approval/signature by the Executive Director/Deputy Executive Director.

- Researching and presenting reports on various topics for the Executive Director/Deputy Executive Director.

- Assisting in maintenance of activity calendars, reserving conference rooms and setting up teleconference.

- Serving as the Executive Team POC for resolving and troubleshooting all executive office IT issues.

- Completing tasks given by the Executive Director/Deputy Executive Director.


Minimum Education and Experience:

- Bachelor-s Degree (in-progress students need not apply)

- Five (5) years of professional experience

- Prior support to CEO-level and/or Senior Executive Service government professionals


Required Skills

- U.S. Citizenship and ability to successfully complete background investigation

- Ability to handle demanding job with long hours and short deadline turnarounds

- Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work when needed

- Must be willing to adapt to the client-s wishes and demands

- Must be willing to back up team where needed

- Must have a positive attitude, be energetic and excited about work with the client

- Must be confident

- Must be discreet

- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills

- Must possess situational awareness and be professional at all times

Desirable Skills

- Demonstrated ability to track and report status

- Professional oral presentation and conduct is critical due to expected interactions with senior government

officials

- Familiarity of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK)

- Executive mindset who owns problems and issues and works with independence and initiative to chart and lead

the path to success
