Schedule: 40 hours/week, 8 hours/day
Pay Rate: $22 - $26 per hour

This role is responsible as the sole process owner and point of contact for international customers and distributors in the Caribbean. This role is responsible for managing the flow of goods and information across RB’s Caribbean customer by exercising a high level of discretion while developing and implementing innovative support strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging internal and external stakeholders and vendor relationships to successfully manage air/sea/ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing/distribution centers. Additionally, the Export Specialist is responsible for providing dedicated customer support to deliver on customized customer needs. The overall goal is to work with Sales, Supply, and Logistics to provide a high level of service to our internal and external customers.

• Act as sole point of contact and successfully liaise between customers, carriers, freight forwarders and departments within the RB (Sales, Finance, Transportation, Demand Planning, Production, Regulatory and Marketing)
• Make independent decisions to determine and present the best mode of transportation to customers to maintain service levels agreements, decrease cost, and comply with relevant laws
• Ensure orders are correct and aligned to the appropriate customer discount levels and pricing
• Manage, maintain, and issue applicable documentation and provide instruction to comply with Federal regulations and country requirements, such as proforma invoices for letters of credit, import licenses and pre-shipment inspections. Review documentation for accuracy and approve and code vendor bills.
• Complete process of shipment including arranging for pick-up or inland transportation, booking, document preparation (i.e. Certificate of origin, export declaration) forwarding, follow-up with tracking and tracing to final destination and data quality requirement.
• Create and maintain SOP (standard operating procedures) and customer profiles including key contacts, special requirements, contract rates and preferred routings/services/carriers.
• Responsible for managing and resolving any credit issues and invoice management. Resolve deductions for carrier claims, short shipments, damages and unresolved issues.
• Responsible ad hoc projects as assigned

• College graduate: You have a B.S. In Supply Chain Management, Business Degree, Logistics or relevant degree.
• Supply Chain Background: You have 2+ years of export experience or combined experience in export/import, logistics, and planning in related market. You have experience with order management systems and are familiar with export policies. Knowledge of International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) and Department of Transportation (DOT) is a plus.
• Strong communicator: You are clear and concise in communicating statuses / required actions and are comfortable presenting across multiple levels of the business
• Organized: You manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment to deliver on time and in full.
• Analytical: You can sift through data sets, extract insights and leverage those insights to solve the root cause of a problem.
• Fast paced: You thrive in a quick moving environment and are comfortable working within the gray space where steps aren’t clearly defined. You see the gray space as an opportunity for you to make an impact. Working with incomplete information doesn’t intimidate you and are you are confident in making recommendations leveraging the information paired with your business knowledge.
