Seeking Entry level Extrusion Operators for Career Opportunities in Northlake, IL.

Our client is seeking entry level Extrusion Operators to work for their facility that manufactures plastic containment bags for the food industry. They will train entry level candidates to grow into a senior positions within the company. Growth opportunities available, company will increase pay upon completing training and testing for advance positions under their pay for skills program. Safety is #1 at this Manufacturing Facility, it has an excellent safety record. It is a clean, a climate controlled environment and accessible by the Pace 309 bus.

WORK LOCATION: Northlake, Illinois on the 309 Pace bus.

Starting Pay: $15.25 - $15.75 - (Pay Increase opportunities, $17.50/Days and $18/Nights after completing training)

Available Shifts: Work 15 days per Month = 12 hour shifts, four nights one week and three nights the other week. Must work every other weekend, but the regular schedule is only 15 days a month.

- 12 hour shifts, Rotating Schedule -Must be able to work every other weekend.

- Am Shift: 9am-9pm

- PM Shift: 9pm-9am

JOB DUTIES: The Extrusion Operator is responsible for performing utility functions and duties that support Lamination/Slitting and Extrusion areas. Associates prepare and package rolls of film according to customer requirements for safe handling and transport within the facility and abroad.

- Can perform utility functions and work independently in both Lamination/Slitting and Extrusion areas and has a basic understanding of the Lamination, Slitting and Extrusion equipment.

- Performs quality inspections such as roll diameter, edge cuts, core quality, and cosmetic defects.

- Removes product from machine.

- Discards defective material and operates bailing equipment.

- Packages and secures all good products in designated manner.

- Reads and understands the product specification to correctly pack product.

- Basic use of auxiliary tools and equipment, including (but not limited to) the core cutter, bailer, banding tool, tape measure and cutting tools.

- Works in cooperation to keep the machine stocked and running, supporting in ways that will help increase safety, quality, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

- Assists the department in different capacities if the machine is down.

- Keep assigned area clean and properly 5S-d according to established Lean and basic housekeeping expectations.

- Inspects materials, products, and packaging at each step of packaging process.

**Requirements**

REQUIREMENTS:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);

- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Preferred but not required experience with the operation of the Hays Laminator & Duesenberg Slitting equipment systems.

- Preferred but not required experience with the operation of Mono and Co-extrusion blown film equipment. (Sano/Brampton Engineering/Alpine), and all secondary componentry.

- Preferred but not required to have experience with mixing various film structures using Process Control Blending Systems (LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE, EVA, PA, Nylon, and EVOH film structures)
