This is a Direct Hire role that can pay **$30.00 plus.** Edwards Vacuum is located at

The role of the **Maintenance Technician** is to provide facilities support to the Solon, OH Location: carpentry, plumbing, and electrical. This role will make routine, periodic or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdown of facilities, machinery and equipment.

+ Maximize building and equipment uptime by preforming both preventative and corrective maintenance when needed.

+ Identify and maintain spare stock for both preventative and breakdown maintenance, prepare requisitions for supervisors signature, as replacement needs dictate.

+ Monitor equipment operating parameters to ensure maximum operational performance.

+ Diagnose and repair production and facility equipment failures.

+ Review completed repairs with the team and recommend actions to improve meantime between failures.

+ Assist with projects to install, or move, production equipment installations as required.

+ Ensure calibrations are carried out and up-to-date for all analytical equipment, torque wrenches, and gas sensors.

+ Conducts periodic inspections of the facility waste collection areas and disposal method to ensure compliance with hazardous and non-hazardous waste regulations and corporate policy.

+ Maintains records as required by corporate policy or regulatory agency including MSDS, waste manifest, PM work orders, etc.

+ Demonstrates competence in some of the following areas: abatement systems, rotating equipment repair and maintenance, high purity orbital welding, HVAC repair, and electrical equipment maintenance.

+ Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

+ Conducts periodic inspections of the facility waste collection areas and disposal method to ensure compliance with hazardous and non-hazardous waste regulations and corporate policy.

+ Ensures compliance with all safety policies/procedures, leading by example, with continual monitoring and observance of individuals working in the area.

+ Build and execute a robust program for maintaining all equipment in the machine shop.

+ Ensure that only properly trained personnel use/operate equipment within the shop.

+ Maintain all equipment ensuring that daily/weekly/quarterly/annual inspections are completed and documented on time.

+ Tests, inspects, troubleshoots and repairs machines and equipment to ensure proper functionality.

+ Setup and maintain equipment records for each piece of equipment.

+ Installation of new equipment that may be added to the existing shop in the future.

**Education level:**

+ High school diploma, GED required. Vocational, trade school or equivalent is preferred.

**Relevant Previous experience:**

+ 2 years minimum of general facility maintenance or manufacturing experience required.

**Knowledge areas/Skills** :

+ Demonstrated capability of repairing compressors, pumps, valves and fittings.

+ Welding experience is desirable.

+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, sketches, blueprints and electrical schematics. Understanding of building codes desirable.

**Other requirements** :

+ Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Word, Outlook Preferred).

+ Ability to work with minimal supervision.

+ Able to work OT when needed
