**Job Description**

Kelly Services is seeking an Office Manager for the Faculty Practice at Case Western Reserve's Dental School. Pay is $21/hour at 37.5 hours/week. MUST have experience in a dental office.


Working under limited supervision, this position has responsibility for all functional areas of human resources and administrative workflow for the Faculty Practice, and serves as a technical resource and advisor on financial, human resources, physical plant, inventory control and business operations. This position will manage all daily and monthly financial transactions of the practice. During the course of daily activities, this employee will regularly exercise discretion and judgement, and has the ability to waive/deviate from established policies and procedures without prior approval.


1. Responsible for the efficient and effective management and workflow of the Faculty practice. Direct, adjust and supervise the daily activities of the reception and dental assistant positions, in order to meet business operational requirements. Assist in the assignment of daily duties for dental assistants. Ensure efficient coordination of the patient scheduling systems. Provide administrative review and oversight of patient hygiene recall. Perform chart audits and approve all closeouts. (30)%

2. Manage all financial activities for the Faculty Practice. Oversee accounts receivable for the department. Monitor all laboratory cases and process monthly statements for payment. Perform month-end and payroll reports and recording for practice faculty members. Prepare fee estimates for patients. Review and process all purchase requisitions for supplies and materials. (20%)

3. Manage human resources and record keeping activities for the practice. Directly supervise receptionist, dental assistants and hygienists on non-clinical issues. Perform initial evaluation of applicants for employment in the Faculty Practice department. Ensure the professional competence and performance of reception and clinical staff, related to non-clinical areas. Record, maintain, monitor and secure all staff time, attendance and employment records, ensuring compliance with the SODM-s and university-s attendance policies. Ensure overall department compliance with Axium policies and protocols (15%)

4. Initiate, maintain, and terminate, when necessary, contracts between the Faculty Practice and insurance companies. Responsible for the submission of all Dental Insurance to vendor. Pre-qualify all patient insurance. Post collections and adjustments to production/collection. (10%)



Education/Experience: Associate-s degree and 3 or more years of financial management experience, or high school education and 5 or more years of financial management experience. Supervisory and dental office experience required. Recent private practice experience preferred.

2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

3. Good oral and written communication skills.

4. Organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to work with little or no supervision.

5. Ability to prioritize workload and work efficiently.

6. Knowledge of Softdent computer software as well as Microsoft Office software.

7. Knowledge of PeopleSoft accounting software.

8. Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and customers face to face.

9. Ability to meet consistent attendance.
