Note: This is a full-time, direct-hire,No C2C, 3rd party or H-1B at this time. This position is a **WORK FROM HOME** role. Candidate must sit in the **Metro-Detroit Area** . We appreciate all of our applicants, but we are not able to sponsor at this time. Pay up to $115,000.

We are the global technical distributor based on semiconductor business. Today we are seeking a **Field Applications Engineer** (FAE) with experience in automotive market to provide technical support for developing their designs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding and explaining our products line features/roadmap and provide direct customer support through all stages of the design, development and production process.

+ Provide expert know-how with our products for new designs working with supplier, including analog, power products, CAN/LIN, Ethernet but not limited. (e.g. Infineon, Analog Devices, Microchip, Ricoh or Realtek)

+ Proactively translating customer requirements (current and future) back into the suppliers design and marketing teams to allow effective decision making.

+ Proactively go to automotive market to make new accounts engagements in addition to our current customers.

+ Facilitate schematic/PCB layout, modification and prototype construction of customer projects as required - taking the lead where needed.

+ Ensure that any projects undertaken are properly documented, from the initial definition & deliverables stage, through to completion, hand-over and closure.

+ Work with customers to integrate the recommended products into new automotive-focused designs.

+ lManage technical interaction between supplier and the customer and perform design review with them.

+ Developing customer presentations & business proposals, as well as white papers, technical presentation, internal support notes

+ Can clearly perform in efficient business manner to achieve day to day goal and can document it as requested.

+ Tracking and reporting weekly on overall execution of customer deliverable and commitments that are key to customers and partners.

+ Interact with technical resources in U.S., Europe and Japan

+ Establishing & maintaining strong working relationships with internal Sales, Marketing, Operations.

+ Provide failure analysis expertise.

+ Coordinate and participate in customer technical training.

+ Support Sales and Marketing in the introduction of devices to customers

+ After-hours and weekend work may be required based on customer requests

+ BS/MS in Electrical Engineering.

+ 8+ years of Industry experience in design and/or applications engineering, direct customer support

+ Strong background in Automotive and Industrial market.

+ Strong communications skills (written and verbal)

+ Able to work independently with a motivated self-driven style

+ Multi-cultural management experience will be needed and occasional international travel.

+ Business trip a couple times in a month includes Chicago office visit by car.
