**_Field Service Engineer/Electrical Engineer_**



**_Location: Remote-Must be near major Airport (Headquarters in Dallas)_**

**Main Focus**



The purpose of the Electrical Engineer/Field Services Technician role is to assist customers with troubleshooting and providing pre and post-sales support for Products and Services. This role is responsible for the installation, testing, analyzing, maintaining, diagnosing issues and training of products at customer sites with specific focus on controls and actuations product range. Primary focus is to be the subject matter expert in controls and actuations and provide customers with excellent technical customer service to ensure complete satisfaction. This position has a direct and significant impact on maintaining our customer base as well as growing new business for the company and Actuation product range.



Main Responsibilities




+ Provide field service technical support for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting of products over the phone and onsite, as and when needed

+ Be the subject matter expert in controls and actuation and provide support to the sales team and leadership regarding all aspects of issues related to control valves and actuators

+ Administer all aspects of warranty claims including coordinating the processing of claims in a timely, accurate and complete manner

+ Be proficient in troubleshooting and diagnosing root cause of the issues onsite with minimum supervision

+ Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on-site, customer interface

+ Acts as a company representative and advises customers

+ Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions

+ Conducts extensive self-study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency in company's product lines

+ Other duties related to the installing, commissioning and servicing of building controls and facilities management systems and energy management systems, as assigned

+ Diagnose malfunctioning and trouble shoot systems, and components using test equipment such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and ammeters, and the use of power tools and hand tools, to locate the cause of breakdown and correct the problem

+ Participate in and support the Lean initiative

+ Participate in safety programs and display a mindset of safety first at all times

+ Is an active participant in our organizational lean improvement plans; works with lean leaders to define and implement best practices; maintains 5 S standards

+ Support suggestion program by submitting ideas for improvement

+ Adhere to established company policies and procedures

+ Perform any and all duties as assigned





Qualifications and Experience




+ Vocational School four-year program graduate or Associates or Engineering degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field.

+ Seven to ten years of increasingly responsible experience in installing and servicing electronic control and HVAC equipment.

+ Highly technical, thorough and analytical.

+ 2 plus years of technical training experience with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts in order to communicate with people at all levels preferred.

+ Highly results driven with skills in managing both core process and bringing a creative and innovative approach.

+ Learning and flexible mindset is required.

+ Ability to operate within a global, fast moving, high volume manufacturing/ technology business and a balance of working both strategically and operationally.

+ Able to travel generally 40%, with flexibility to travel up to 75% according to customer needs.

+ Team player.
