Support the day to day operations, finances and strategic projects!

Enter and confirm accuracy for planned budget in financial systems for all projects.

Perform financials monthly, forecast closing and reporting duties for R&D organization.

Support and update the capital and variable expense budgets for the Program Management function.

Report financial data and analysis to finance and Program Management function.

Coordinate/review capital requests, assist Project Technical Leads with execution of Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) initiation to close including appropriate approvals, project set-up, generating all purchase orders, track payments, monthly accruals, and assign asset tags.

Transfer required Capital to Manufacturing after validation.

Create and track purchase orders (PeopleSoft), change orders, vendor profiles, accruals, reclasses, and other key financial activities.

Accurately update forecast changes to financial systems.

Retrain/reeducate self to changing systems; Hyperion/SmartView, Kintana, Qlikview, Omniflow

Provide guidance, training, and understanding for financial systems to Project Technical Leaders and Functions.

Support day to day administration of department including meeting scheduling and coordination, ordering of materials, documentation review, revision and coordinating signoffs.

Support the budget planning cycle, both strategic (3-5 years) and annual R&D variable project budgets combining Rochester and Waterford; as well as the annual Capital budget.

Makes process decisions supporting operating and capital budgeting and forecasting requirements.

Suggests and implements improvements.

General knowledge of primary functions practices and principles.

Specific assignments within function; operation of key supporting functions (Program Management, Finance, Purchasing)

Follows standard procedures and practices, interpreting them for new situations as necessary; may consult with supervisor or other functions on exceptions.

Internal customers: Ability to interact at all levels of business to include: Program management, Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Accounts payable and Corporate sites Rochester; Waterford, Ireland; Bridgewater, NJ. Technical leaders, Program management, functional departments.

External customers: Communicate, assist and problem solve with vendor suppliers.

Work cordially and professionally with internal and external customers.

1-3 years experience in accounting, reporting and analysis.

Bachelors degree preferred in Business, Finance or Accounting.

Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.

Significant experience with reporting systems providing expertise and efficiency at manipulating multiple systems.

Expertise with PeopleSoft, Hyperion, Kintana, Qlikview and OmniFlow Financial modules is a plus.

Adaptability to changing system tools.

Planning, organization and finance/accounting experience.

Strong detail orientation and ability to ensure accuracy of deliverables.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Must work well in a dynamic environment, be team oriented and be able to recommend and implement process improvements.

Ability to manage multiple time-critical projects simultaneously.

Self-directed with ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple competing or changing priorities.

Demonstrate strong work ethic with regard to confidentiality.
