Our client, a Canadian multinational energy transportation company, is currently looking for a **Financial Systems Analyst** for a **contract position expected to last until October of 2020, with a possibility of being extended or going perm.** This position is located in Houston, TX.

**Pay: $30.00 - $35.00/hr**







**Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:**





_Process Improvement Execution and Implementation_



Execute high value improvements to AP processes with the goal of simplification, standardization, and automation, as conceptualized and planned by Sr Advisors



Contribute as a team member on agile sprints a small team focusing their attention for 2 weeks on a specific definition of done to advance process improvements toward implementation



Increasingly responsible for detailing out plans, developing own proposals and plans, and owning sprints



Design and execute test plans as needed for improvements related to systems



Support implementation of improvements into AP operations including documentation preparation and training





_Change Management Support_



Increasingly learn about Company organizational structure and stakeholders to effectively gather input from stakeholders and implement solutions



Support change management activities including contributing content for communications, communication distribution, online brand and presence, and other implementation strategies geared to stakeholders





_Escalation Resolution and Prevention_



Monitor issue resolution workflow to prevent escalations and identify improvement opportunities



Understand and analyze root causes to understand trends



Support continual improvement of issue resolution strategy and workflow





_Tracking and Reporting_



Coordination of continuous improvement program



Track the improvement plans vs actual



Conduct daily standup meetings with team members



Track the adoption of process improvements through the control phase post-go live



Provide regular status updates on improvements to the team and management



Prepare trend reports and key message material for multiple audiences





_Documentation_



Create process maps and inventories



Prepare and maintain Job Aids, QRGs and FAQs related to improvements



Maintain document repositories





**Qualifications:**



Bachelor level degree required. Preferred backgrounds: Business Administration, Business



Process Management, Finance and Accounting, Information Technology, Business Analysis, Project Management Change Management, Communication. A focus on business process automation and agile methodology is an asset.



3 years of direct experience in AP. A Shared Services and/or outsourcing model is preferred. Experience should be a variety of positions that have focused on process improvements and not only transactional processing. Experience in or knowledge of Supply Chain Management is an asset.



Experience in SAP and Oracle R12 is preferred but strong technical aptitude in general is most important. Experience in Oracle Cloud is an asset.



The key is an education and work background that fosters critical, creative, big picture thinking; with a proven track record of translating the art of the possible into realistic and adoptable solutions.



Strong analytical skills: business processes, issues and trend analysis.



Strong issue resolution and ability to determine priority of an issue and escalate accordingly.



Can easily understand strategy at multiple levels in the organization and quickly align with it.



Has the agility needed to shift priorities as needed to align with strategies and plans.



Able to think critically and creatively to challenge the status quo and have the courage to not be afraid to speak up.



Empowered and confident to enforce policies and procedures with AP clients.
