**Flow Cytometry Scientist**


**GENERAL DESCRIPTION:**


To conduct and assist in the performance of ELISA assays and perform flow cytometry analysis.


**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:**


+ Set-up and conduct ELISA assays in accordance with Protocol and SOP's.

+ Responsible for daily flow cytometer utilization, maintenance and any troubleshooting.

+ Take the lead on flow cytometry analysis and interpretation.

+ Efficiently carry out procedures necessary to complete each project with minimal supervision.

+ Assist the clinical pathology group, as needed.

+ Meticulously maintain precise records of all experiments in accordance with good laboratory practices.

+ Assist in writing of reports.

+ Follow all safety requirements.

+ Ability to safely wear a respirator required.

+ Other duties as assigned.


**QUALIFICATIONS:**


+ He/She should have a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience. This individual must have experience running ELISA assays and must be knowledgeable in relevant experimental design, validation, and assay transfers. In addition, this individual must be an expert with flow cytometry. Computer proficiency, strong analytical/problem solving skills and management and supervisory skills are desirable.

+ Must have minimum one year experience in Flow Cytometry analysis

+ The individual holding this position must be of highest integrity and have a very strong sense of responsibility, be detail orientated with good oral and written communication skills and be willing and able to work with little or no supervision. He/she must be mature, self-motivated, adaptable, and possess a positive attitude towards learning new skills, be well organized, capable of adapting to a broad spectrum of responsibilities and be able to maintain meticulous and accurate records.
