We are currently seeking a Flow Cytometry Specialist to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD **.**

**TASKS.** The contractor shall:


+ Operate and maintain electronic systems in the lab.
+ Perform sorting and analysis of cells, including immunophenotyping, cell cycle analysis, cell signaling, and determination of apoptosis.
+ Stain and process cells from human specimens for analysis as well as performing the cytometry.
+ Prepare reports of flow cytometric experimentation including sample preparation and analysis.
+ Perform data analysis and maintain database for the results.
+ Perform instrument quality control to ensure user satisfaction.
+ Maintain inventory of lab supplies, including required documentation.
+ Repair and maintain lab equipment including cellular analyzers and cell sorters
**REQUIREMENTS.** The contractor must have:


+ Master’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences or a related discipline. Two (2) years of specialized experience plus a Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to a Master’s degree.
+ Minimum of six (6) years of experience performing flow cytometry experimentations and analyzing cells.
+ Proficiency in the operation of computer and general data acquisition programs.
+ Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
+ Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
