We are seeking an experienced Formulation Chemist who is responsible for the development of new agrochemical formulations and related projects, method analysis, and quality of products. While reporting to the Group Leader, the Formulation Chemist is responsible for the day to day operations at the laboratory facilities.

This position is responsible for the development of new pesticide formulations, exploring alternative methods of analysis, development of quality specifications, and the maintenance of the laboratory and all equipment. A key responsibility includes identifying changes in critical chemical product characteristics and the safety of self and team members.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** :

+ Independently plan the experimental design for development of new for new formulations.

+ Understand and analyze the active ingredients, physical/chemical properties and crystal morphology,

+ Have a complete understanding of rheological property testing of suspension concentrates, oil dispersions and capsule suspension liquid formulations.

+ Experience in the use of routine pesticide formulation testing tools such as viscometers, particle size analyzers, DSC, TGA, turbiscan, FTIR and UV spectrophotometers.

+ Expertise in handling and use of processing equipment such as wet and dry grinding mills, high speed mixers and granulators.

+ Maintain a consistent habit of conducting literature searches and patent reading

+ Knowledge and understanding of surfactants.

+ Need based visits to field sites and customer locations.

**Education and/or Experience**

+ Bachelor's degree (B.S/M.S) in chemistry or biochemistry, and 5-10 years of experience, preferably in an agrochemical environment.

+ Work experience within research and development for agricultural formulation development preferably or in surfactant application R&D or in personal healthcare formulation development for 5+ years.

+ Computer skills with expertise in MS Office programs required.


+ The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

+ Candidates must be able to comply with regulatory requirements.

+ Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, customers, and suppliers, and must have good interpersonal and negotiating skills, including ability to build an effective working relationship with supply partners and departments within the organization.

+ This position requires the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, and the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or verbal form and deal with multiple abstract and concrete variables.

There may be long periods of standing.

+ Travel is required for this position, including via car, plane, and other modes of transportation. This person must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable by the Company.

The salary for this position is $70,000-$75,000 plus bonus eligibility. This is non-negotiable.
