**Location:** Lexington, MA (local candidates preferred)


**Pay:** $40.001 year contract through July 2022


**Summary**

Working for a global, pharmaceutical company, the **Global Supply Chain Masterdata Specialist**

will be focused on the creation, maintenance and troubleshooting of material master data

across the companies SAP landscape and its associated systems. The role will be responsible for

creation, maintenance, and verification of several globally utilized master data objects according

to standards and policies.


The role acts as a subject matter expert on master data towards data owners and data requestors. The role ensures consistent use of data across systems. The individual in this role will assist with training and documentation of all MD processes with the assistance of the SAP MDM Lead. This individual will also work across the multiple teams to ensure proper MD is collected and workflows for material creation are working and enhanced through assessments, as needed. Working in a matrix organization, the successful candidate will be a subject matter expert, equally comfortable in working with managers, end users and super users (of both business and Information Technology) to build materials and associated data (boms, PIRs, resources, recipes, production versions, t-lanes, CVCs).


**OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:**

The Global Supply Chain Masterdata Specialist provides support to the organization by being an

executional contact ensuring new master data is detailed, documented, entered into SAP, and

trained on by users.

The Global Supply Chain Masterdata Specialist will support growing the end user capabilities

around masterdata by developing and maintaining training, data dictionaries and all associated

supply chain relevant data materials.

The Global Supply Chain Masterdata Specialist will support the data quality initiatives and reporting

for the org and will work with the Supply Chain Masterdata team and impacted groups to drive

improvement in the metrics.


**ACCOUNTABILITIES:**

Masterdata Management: Creation, maintenance, verification and troubleshooting of material master data objects, bills of material, production versions, and recipes in L-Shire SAP according to standards and policies. Perform monthly data checks to ensure data integrity/consistency.



Masterdata Steward: Maintain documentation including SOPs, forms, and data dictionaries to ensure proper and complete integration with multiple SAP modules. Provide MD training to new hires in planning/other areas as requested. Serve as point of contact for keeping MD policies training up to date as changes occur. Support end user questions, data related queries, and overall understanding of MD within MaBioOps.



MDM Change Management Process: Maintain records of Global Supply Chain MDM activity, including change logs, backlog, and related MD change management performance metrics.



Enterprise Integration: As a team member of projects, tasks for integration, or process enhancements, partner and collaborate with key stakeholders in business and IT by providing subject matter expertise, documenting business requirements, data flows and performing testing, validation, etc. Includes gathering, collating, verifying, cleaning, and if necessary transforming data and ensuring data file readiness for IT to load into systems.

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

Understanding of overall end-to-end supply chain processes and functions

Understanding of commercial processes and procedures and the data maintained.

Understanding of financial processes and procedures and the data maintained.

Background in master data management processes and methodologies.

SAP R/3 ECC 6.0 and SAP-APO

Ability to operate cross-functionally, working with all site functions.

Functions as the point of contact to the business for Global Supply Chain master data change management and reporting.

Ability to perform tasks without direct supervision and support.

Decision-making and Autonomy

The Global Supply Chain Masterdata Specialist reports into the MaBioOps GSC Masterdata Lead who reports to the MaBioOps ERP & Master Data Lead. This role will work in a matrix setup with all supply chain functions of Technical Operations, quality assurance, information technology, and business intelligence.

Must have ability to self-prioritize tasks when competing for resource / time keeping company objectives, impact of task on local / regional / global levels of the function as well as balance life and work.

Must be able to understand / accept sense of urgency and dedicate to excel by completing activities successfully within prescribed time.

Exercises judgement within defined GSC cGMP controls and the departments masterdata change management framework

Interaction

Site business functions Ensure adherence to processes. Enhance alignment and knowledge of master data processes.

Company BPR Ensure alignment with project team goals, tasks and timelines.

Company MDG Support above site MDG activities as needed.

Innovation

In partnership with the MaBioOps ERP/Masterdata Lead

Support the Global Supply Chain and MaBioOps master data management strategy and governance processes.

Support the development of functional master data stewards

Support integration through implementation of Company BPR and MDG.

Complexity

Ability to operate in a matrixed environment, find quick wins and manage identified opportunities.

Participate in driving Global Supply Chain master data management and governance improvements via KPI reporting and training.

Ability to drive improvements through consistent data reporting and follow-up on actions from that reporting.

Develop capability to perform Companys GSC Masterdata Management processes.



**EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:**


+ A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university preferably with major in technology / engineering or science (related to pharmaceuticals / biopharmaceuticals preferable but not necessary) / supply chain management / operations management.

+ Masters degree or MBA in any of the above stated specializations would be an added asset, but not necessarily required.

+ A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in ERP, specifically SAP R/3 ECC 6.0 and/or SAP-APO system environment, E2E supply chain, inventory management, planning, and quality management business processes, with in industry verticals of life sciences, consumer packaged goods (CPG), etc.

+ Bio-pharmaceutical / Pharmaceutical experience highly preferred.

**OTHER NOTES:**


+ Must be an uninhibited team player with excellent negotiation and socialization skills to drive organizational results with win-win attitude

+ Must have awareness of SAP master data as it relates to internal supply chain functions for process industry planning, process orders, production versions, bill-of-materials, recipes, purchasing info records, source list, quota arrangements, inventory control, warehouse control, quality assurance, and quality compliance.

+ Must have analytical skills and problem-solving expertise and knowledge with structured methodical approach. Results must be efficient and effective.

+ Must be able to simplify complex business process problems and provide clarity to different stake-holder levels in the organization

+ Must have ability to self-prioritize tasks when competing for resource / time keeping company objectives, impact of task on local / regional / global levels of the function as well as balance life and work.

+ Must be able to understand / accept sense of urgency and dedicate to excel by completing activities successfully within prescribed time.

+ Role requires extended periods of time in front of a computer screen performing data entry, queries, and reporting using a computer keyboard

+ previous data management experience and an understanding of SAP ECC6.0 / APO along with cross functional integration points in materials management, logisticsplanning, and logistics execution.

+ The role does not require to perform hands-on configuration/system setting, but must have knowledge of how related system configurations/settings work, integration points in SAP / APO, and master data.
