Kelly Services is seeking a **Government Affairs Contractor** for an American Fortune 500 company and global supplier of paints, coatings, and specialty materials in Pittsburgh, PA.

**Job Title: Government Affairs Contractor**

Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15272 (Remote To Start)

Job Type: Temporary

Length: 12-Months

Est. Start Date: February 2021

Hours: 40 hours/week, 8 hours/day

Pay Rate: $32 per hour


The Government Affairs contractor will provide full support to the GA Director as well as ensure all government affairs and the PPG PACs ethics & compliance needs are met including lobbying registrations, filling, and disclosures as well as PPG PAC filings with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC). Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: legislative tracking & policy research/issue briefing; drafting one-pagers, PPG Today articles, presentations; managing the GA website and PPG PAC website with the third party vendor; and processing all GA files and invoices.

**Scope of Responsibility**

+ Monitor legislative and regulatory matters that will impact the company.

+ provide written content for internal distribution on updates related to the GA organization as well as policy and political updates.

+ prepare external issue impact documents for distribution to government officials and government agencies.

+ Register GA lobbyists with state and federal agencies; maintain records of all lobbying activities; prepare and submit all lobbying disclosures/filings as required.

+ Oversee all PPG PAC filings and disclosures with the FEC to ensure PPG PAC compliance.

+ Manage GA tracker/database of all ongoing or completed issues that GA leads.

+ Provide administrative support for internal and external meetings, events, and talking points.

+ Manage the GA and PPG PAC websites, content and work directly with the third-party vendor to ensure all GA Website material is in compliance with PPG Brand guidelines.

+ Support GA organization with draft testimony on legislative priorities when PPG will provide testimony at hearings.

+ -Work directly with the GA Director to manage all GA invoices are processed appropriately and timely and keep record of such invoices to vendors, trade associations, consultants, etc.

**Candidate Requirements**

+ A Bachelors Degree in public affairs, government relations/public policy, marketing or related business discipline and some experience working in a corporate environment for public relations, government affairs, external affairs or a similar field.

+ A knowledge of the government affairs, the public policy and political process, and an understanding of manufacturing and legislative priorities that impact PPG. Experience and familiarity with Political Action Committees is preferred.

+ The candidate must utilize strong writing skills and have a passion for research on complex policy issues.


+ The individual will work remotely until the company returns to an in office work schedule.

+ **Required skills include** : Strong written and verbal skills; interest in public policy and election process; and strong understanding of excel.

+ **Preferred skills:** experience working on an elections campaign; experience lobbying; experience working with Political Action Committees (PAC); experience with filing lobbying disclosures and filings; experience in the government field or currently in school with a focus on government relations; public policy.
