**Help Desk Coordinator (Part-time)**


**Location: Davis, CA**


**Duration: Contract**


**Hours: 20 30 per week.**


**Position Summary**


The Help Desk Coordinator position is a junior individual-contributor role on the People Operations team and reports directly to the People Operations Manager. This position is responsible for the planning and delivery of user desktop support services (Windows & Mac environments) in a laboratory, office, field and remote sites landscape. This individual will need strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization. Responsibilities will include installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and user assistance for all technology including but not limited to laptop computers, printers, phone, email accounts, and video conferencing. This position is the sole IT support position in the company and will coordinate higher-level systems and network administration issues with the Our clients outside IT contractor. This is a part-time non-exempt role target to work 20-30 hours per week.


**Key Responsibilities**


+ Performs issue resolution for incoming help requests from end users, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, configuring systems and applications.

+ Serves as designated application or system contact for problem resolution and vendor


interactions.


+ Deploys computers, creates and modifies domain profiles, and provides basic training for new/existing users.

+ Tracks and records key user and systems metrics; reports regularly or as requested.

+ Ensures continuous user support and contact with user.

+ Provides guidance to and monitors user support services provided by Our clients outside IT contractor staff.


+ Consults with vendors on resolutions to identified issues.


+ Assists in the research and evaluation of new user service management systems.


+ Assists in the implementation of new systems and services and develops training guides for


user support employees.


+ Follows performance metrics to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the user support function; applies results to improve productivity, professionalism and service quality.

+ Develops resource reference materials for system users (user manuals, online help


pages, tutorial videos and web page content).


+ Monitors system environment to identify availability and functionality issues, communicates issues and resolutions.


+ Develops system release documentation and communication.

+ Serve as core member of Our clients IT Steering Committee.


**Education & Experience Requirements**


+ AA/AS degree. Certifications including but not limited to MCSA, MTA, MOS, A+, Network +, ATech, CTech, MCSE, MCP or MCSD.

+ A Minimum of five (5) years experience in a direct Help Desk support role for both Mac and Windows users.

+ Network troubleshooting
