Title: HR Benefits Administrator

Company: Professional and long-standing commercial property & casualty insurance company -managing multi-billion-dollar portfolio.

Location: Near Lakewood Ranch area of Sarasota, FL

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm

Hire-Type: *Temp-to-Hire or Direct-Hire

Summary ( _from hiring manager_ ):

We are currently seeking an **HR / Benefits Assistant** for our centralized Human Resources Department. This position will work within our Benefits, Compensation & Payroll team. This role will be located at our corporate headquarters in Sarasota, FL and reports to our Director of Benefits & Compensation.

General duties:

+ Assist in the administration of Company's Employee Benefits Programs and provide exceptional customer service to teammates.

+ Conduct benefits orientations and help coordinate the annual open enrollment session.

+ Reconcile benefit vendor invoices.

+ Work closely with Payroll to ensure benefit paycheck deductions are accurate.

+ Assist in maintaining the HRIS file feeds to vendors and prepare required reports.

+ Assist with other HR projects as requested.

_Required Qualification(s)_

Minimum one year of relevant experience in an HR, payroll, or benefits role.

Basic knowledge of benefits administration and human resources.

Basic knowledge of Federal and State laws, rules, and regulations related to benefits.

Must be able to effectively handle highly sensitive and confidential employee matters at all times.

Excellent communication, negotiation, teamwork, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgement and decision-making.

_Preferred Qualification(s)_

Bachelors Degree in a business-related field; (Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education).

Pre-Screen & Interview Questionnaire:

1. Briefly describe your ability/level of knowledge using advanced MS Excel functions.

2. Do you possess a minimum of two (2) years recent HR analyst experience processing HR actions in a timely and accurate manner under tight deadlines for large population utilizing an enterprise HRIS?

3. Do you possess a minimum of one (1) year experience in Benefits administration?

4. How many years of experience have you had working with UKG/UltiPro HRIS software? (If none, please provide the HR platform(s) you have worked with previously and number of years in each)

5. Please provide your salary requirements/expectations (starting pay for this position varies depending on relevant experience & skills).
