**HR Generalist**

**Location: Commerce Township**

**Direct Hire- 60-70K depending on experience**

**Mon- Fri- 8am- 5pm- Flexible start and end time**

**Position Summary:**

Responsible for numerous HR activities including Employee Relations and Benefit administration. Prepares weekly payrolls and reports. Plans all activities to enhance employee relations ensuring confidentiality, safety and well-being of associates in the workplace.

**Position Responsibilities:**

+ Processes weekly and bi-weekly payrolls. Calculates and posts employee earnings. Processes rate adjustments and status changes. Calculates and posts pay deductions which involve multi-state tax deductions or other withholdings. Tracks vacation/bonus day accrual.

+ Coordinates the administration of benefit programs such as medical, dental, group life, LTD, STD, pension/401k, tuition reimbursement and other benefits. Acts as liaison between the organization and various carriers/consultants. Consults with and advises employees on their eligibility. Assists employees with claim administration. Maintains benefit records and documents necessary for implementing benefit coverage. Performs open/new enrollments. Ensures compliance with HIPPA & PCI's privacy program along with all associated policies and procedures. FSA Administrator.

+ Coordinates daily employee relations/communications/wellness activities. Plans employee functions and activities (coordinating meetings, adhering to budget, coordinating events the day of). Maintains Precision Club website.

+ Prepares personnel change forms, compiles salary and other personnel statistics, answers personnel inquiries, maintains appraisal and position description file. Performs assignments in the areas of wage and salary administration, job evaluation, employee benefits, organization studies, employee activities and special projects.

+ Assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination with Supervisors and employees through various communication media.

+ Maintains the company's Safety Program to ensure compliance with organization policies and OSHA regulations. Conducts employee training programs for accident and fire prevention and protection and other employee Safety initiatives. Investigates accidents and injuries and issues reports for use in hearings, lawsuits and insurance investigations. Manages Safety incentive programs. Performs as liaison with local fire departments, area hospitals and other outside agencies regarding employee safety and health programs. Orders and monitors safety supplies.

+ Files workers compensation claims and maintains OSHA log. Advises department managers on specific workers compensation, short and long term disabilities and ADA cases; audits W/C Claims.

+ Assists in recruitment of employees. Screen applicants. Places advertisements. Checks references, etc. Coordinates and conducts orientation for new employees including scheduling physical exam and drug screen and reviews results; advises company management accordingly.

+ Maintains personnel records (files, medical records, payroll, attendance).Performs other duties as required by Management.

**Education and Experience:**

+ Experience with computer programs (Windows, Microsoft office, HR Database).

+ 3 years experience in HR support role; benefit administration experience preferred.

+ 1-2 years payroll experience (ADP preferred).

+ High School Diploma or equivalent required; College Degree desirable.

**Key Traits:**
