Kelly Services is looking for an HR Generalist with a client located in the Manitowoc, WI area. This is a 5-month temporary assignment that could lead to a full-time position depending on performance/experience level.


Pay: $23-36/hr depending on experience.


Hours: M-F Hours between 7 am-5 pm, some overtime as needed.


Primary Purpose: Reporting directly to the Corporate HR Leader, the Human Resources Generalist will coordinate the daily functions of the Human Resources department for an assigned business unit. The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to, full-cycle recruiting and interviewing; perform payroll-related duties such as reviewing time punches, PTO, and training; administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This position will also work closely with multiple levels of staff within the organization with the expectation of maintaining high levels of integrity, discretion, and customer service.


Job Responsibilities:


Provide Human Resources generalist level support for an assigned business unit.


Perform high-volume full-cycle recruiting responsibilities, including: interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions o Develop and ADA compliant job descriptions o Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for approved open positions


Order background checks and complete employment eligibility verifications; forward any discrepancies to HR Leader


Coordinate and establish new hire onboarding schedules and conduct new hire Human Resources onboarding


Process employee lifecycle transactions within HRIS with focus on accuracy and timeliness


Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and professional licensures.


Perform a combination of routine and complex tasks required to administer and execute Human Resource programs, including but not limited to: o Compensation o Benefits o Leave Administration o Disciplinary matters o Disputes and Investigations o Performance Management o Talent Management o Productivity and Morale o Occupational Health and Safety o Training and Development Support


Serve as primary contact for assigned business unit; handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors and external requests; referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Companys Corporate HR leader. o Receive and address employee questions regarding company policies, procedures and benefit plans.


Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.


Maintain HR files, HRIS databases, and data integrity of the HRIS System for assigned business unit(s). o Verify accuracy of data, investigate discrepancies, and make necessary corrections. o Compile and maintain personnel files; routine audit for compliance and accuracy


Develop HRM report and dashboards; use application of technology to streamline processes and create departmental and company efficiencies


Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.


Maintain HR knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, talent management, and employment law through HR platforms or continuing education.


Proactively contribute to HR projects in both a support capacity and project lead capacity.


**Required Qualifications:**


+ HR related experience in a manufacturing setting or high touch group

+ Full cycle recruiting experience

+ Publicly traded organization experience is a plus

+ PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or other relevant certifications prefer

+ Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolutions skills and experience

+ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple request in a fast-paced environment; work on multiple concurrent projects with high attention to details and meet deadlines

+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with confidence interacting with members at all levels

+ Ability to manage ambiguity and complexity and act with high levels of integrity, professionalism, and persistence to follow through on tasks
