HR Generalist/Payroll Administrator


Summary:

Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Generalist will perform a variety of HR related activities from staffing through retention for our manufacturing environment consisting of several hundred team members. This position will serve as an initial point of contact for employee relations matters and will work closely with the HR Director as well as operations management on all HR matters to support staffing, training, development, retention and employee engagement. This position also holds additional responsibilities as Payroll Administrator in a multi-state, multi-EIN capacity.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Accurately and timely process all scheduled and un-scheduled (off-cycle) payrolls for multi-EIN's & multi-state employees.

* Stays consistently informed of all staffing/recruiting needs.

* Communicate & maintain sense of urgency in all staffing/recruiting needs.

* As requested, provide a variety of HR metrics and reports.

* Provide HR support in the areas of employee relations, legal compliance, policies and procedure.

* Orientations/Training - provide education and coaching to new & existing employees, team leads and supervisors relating to payroll, time reporting and collection, benefits and company

policies.

* Review & approval of temporary staffing time reporting & agency invoices.

* Work with HR administrator/coordinator on employee maintenance issues.

* Assist with HR, payroll and benefit related questions.

* Assist with applicant tracking, candidate identification, scheduling and selection.

* Assist in recruiting and on-boarding of select candidates focusing on the continuous need of non-exempt roles.

* Assist in employee onboarding, including new employee orientations and benefits enrollment.

* Assist in employee offboarding, including termination matters.

* Assist in the planning/coordination and hosting of company events.

* May assist in monthly benefits invoice reconciliations.

* Other duties may be assigned.


**Requirements**


Requirements:


* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Minimum of 3 years of experience administering payroll for at least 500+ employees, multi-company & multi-state experience also desired.

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role within a manufacturing environment, having involvement in a variety of HR matters from staffing through termination.

* Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.

* Strong working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

* Ability to work under and meet tight processing schedule deadlines, with sometimes frequent interruptions.

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface diplomatically with all levels of employees and management.

* Team player with a positive attitude & proactive mindset/approach.

* Excellent follow-through and follow-up.

* Ability to work independently and have good time management skills.

* Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.

* Adapts to frequent change well and take on new responsibilities as needed & willingness to learn.
