**HR Generalist**

**Location: Pontiac MI**

**Direct Hire- 70-75K**

**Hours: M- F 8am- 5pm**

Kellys Client is looking to bring on an experienced Hr Generalist to join their team. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs.

**Must Have requirements:**

+ **Five or more years of HR generalist experience required**

+ **Union relations experience strongly preferred (UAW)**

+ **Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing environment**


+ Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies and company procedures.

+ Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action, including participating in disciplinary meetings and investigations.

+ Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.

+ Assists with recruitment tasks as needed (reviews applications, interviews).Acts as an employee and labor relations specialist.

+ Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems. Reports vacation, sick, personal day and holiday use to payroll and scheduling. Maintains and distributes report of same.

+ Maintains employee personnel files.

+ Ensures compliance with USCIS Form 1-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms 19.

+ Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner.

+ Updates, monitors, and maintains eligible salary adjustments/increases based on performance evaluations and / or merit adjustments.

+ Reports, maintains, and monitors all workers' compensation case files; follows-up on open cases.

+ Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation, or changes. Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process.


+ Business Acumen: Understands the "big picture" impact of decisions how the key drivers of the business impact the company's financial statements.

+ Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Comfortable communicating in difficult situations in both individual and group settings. Consultation.

+ Critical Evaluation: Use an objective and balanced approached toward analysis and decision Ethical Practice.

+ Global & Cultural Awareness.

+ HR Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in key HR disciplines including the area of; Attraction & Retention,

+ Alignment and Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits and Training & Development.


Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
