Description Our client, a top 15 Pharmaceutical company in the world, is currently seeking a **HR + Payroll Coordinator** for an 8+ month open ended contract opportunity located in **Deerfield, IL.**

Overview and Responsibilities for the position include;

The overall objective of the Employee Resource Center (ERC) is to minimize liability to the company in managing all employment and pay practices by providing a single point of contact for efficient, accessible, flexible and consistent first-class human resources services to all company managers and employees while remaining compliant with all employment state and federal laws and regulations; and, Company’s policy, procedures, code of conduct, operational guidelines and practices.

This position will achieve these objectives by understanding Company’s business needs and creating an environment to effectively deliver quality Company processes and programs that include providing guidance to ERC staff and employees-at-large in their need for Payroll administrative processes and documentation related to policies, procedures, and systems. This position will serve as subject matter expert for Payroll-related topics and ensure cross-training amongst ERC team members. In addition, this position will utilize their Payroll knowledge to support/assist ERC/HR staff to develop and execute policies, procedures, processes and programs to meet Company’s ever-changing business needs and/or develop solutions to support Company’s business issues.

+ Develop knowledge of Company’s Payroll business policies, programs and practices as they impact employees.
+ Manage Payroll-related inquiries, discrepancies and communications to employees. Ensures prompt, accurate, and consistent handling of call requests in accordance with department goals and standards, including accurate prioritizing, categorizing, and documenting requests into the tracking system.
+ Interprets and communicates policies and procedures demonstrating an understanding of federal, state and local laws and practices. Identifies policy conflicts or gaps and recommends changes.
+ Develop, document and maintain ERC procedures to establish and ensure sensitivity and confidentiality of Payroll and personnel data within the ERC, administrative consistency and ease of training new ERC personnel. Identifies and develops documentation to address resource gaps (i.e., knowledge database, FAQs, etc.)
+ Work to support the team to improve the business through technology enhancements, standardization, and simplified processes.
+ Ability to collect, interpret, and create information from payroll, benefits, and HCM systems.
+ Oversees response to routine requests from governmental agencies (e.g., Dept. of Labor, IRS and various state or local jurisdictions), employee file maintenance and any other daily ERC activity.
+ Represent the ERC on HR initiatives and project teams for determining, documenting, training and delivering effective, efficient and continuous quality improvement of Payroll processes.
+ Work with Company managers/employees to effectively and successfully utilize the HR/Payroll shared services model and direct access capabilities.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor Degree, coupled with **_solid HR Generalist experience and sound knowledge of HR and Payroll policies, procedures, practices and systems, preferably ADP._** Should hold ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion. Demonstrated high degree of professionalism and integrity. Ability to handle sensitive situations and highly confidential information with discretion, tact, and diplomacy. Must be able to consult with all manager/employee levels as well as influence to a successful close.
