**Job Description**


Position Summary:


We are hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to join an Albany company and their dynamic team. The HR Coordinator is responsible for performing duties related to Workers Compensation, FMLA/OFLA, and leave of absence requests and reporting.


The successful candidate will possess knowledge of Oregon State and Federal leave employment law and experience applying it to real world employee issues, effective listening skills, ability to understand and complete complex instructions and effectively communicate progress and issues to co-workers, management and employees.


Duties

Respond to employee questions regarding leave requests, banks, and policy/employment law

Track incoming Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA) requests

Monitor and track and employee leave banks

Process Reimbursement Requests

Administer the EAIP program


Ability to

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proactively communicate with stakeholders at all levels

Ability to communicate complex issues to HR team and employees


Knowledge of

FMLA, OFLA, Federal and Oregon State labor laws

Workers Compensation law and claims processing

Experience with insurance company forms and workers comp forms

Advanced Excel skills

Experience with Outlook


Skilled in

High level of attention to detail, meticulous documentation practices

Processing Workers Compensation forms and company insurance forms

Answering employee questions by applying labor laws and company policy

Employee intake meetings and assessment of issues


Position Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

1-3 years experience in HR or related field, experience in assisting with administering Federal and State leave programs preferred.


Work Schedule

Monday-Friday. 30-40 hours/week. This is a long-term temporary assignment, with the potential of being extended based on performance and attendance.
