Summary: The main function of a human resources specialist is to plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management activities of an organization to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions. A typical human resources specialist is responsible for a wide range of organization development activities, such as employee compensation, recruitment (as it relates to policy), personnel policies and regulatory compliance. Job Responsibilities: Advise managers and employees on state and federal employment regulations, collective agreements, benefit and compensation policies, personnel procedures and classification program. Evaluate job positions, determining classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary. Prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales. Assist in preparing and maintaining personnel records and handbooks. Prepare reports, such as organization and flow charts, and career path reports, to summarize job analysis and evaluation and compensation analysis information. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one?s time. Knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action). Knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required. 0-2 years customer service related experience required.

Additional Comments/Requirements

The Recruiting Coordinator works closely with the Business Relationship Manager or Senior Recruiting team to support all administrative processes relevant to recruitment as well as recruitment activities such as reviewing and dispositioning of candidates, screening candidates, and process candidate applications. . The Recruiting Coordinator must perform well in a fast-paced, high-touch corporate environment. Perfect opportunity for a professional administrative assistant or someone interested in a career in recruitment and/or human resources.

Tracks, updates and maintains candidate data in applicant tracking system (ATS) daily.

Acts as an efficient partner to the Recruiter and Hiring teams.

Communicates interview schedules and travel arrangements as appropriate to candidates.

Processes appropriate pre-employment screening.

Ensures pre-employment screening has been completed.

Recruits and interviews for temporary staff and entry-level positions as needed.

Sends appropriate recruiting communication to employees and to referred candidate.

Assists in maintaining candidate information in applicant tracking system.

Processes invoices, bills, etc. (example: agency, temp staff, office supply, and other miscellaneous bills).

Supports production of weekly/monthly reports as needed.

Supports to ensure Service Level Agreement metrics are achieved.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; appropriate tact and professionalism. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Ability to work well with others and approaches job responsibilities considering all team members (within department and external to department). Ability to work with team members and hiring managers in a virtual setting. May be physically remote from recruiting team members, hiring managers and/or supervisor. Ability to interact and set a positive tone with candidates and all levels of the organization (including senior management). Strong basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Software, PeopleSoft). Understanding of applicant tracking system preferred. Associates or Bachelors degree (or country equivalent) and relevant experience preferred but not required, could have HS Diploma with Administrative Assistant experience.
