Kelly Services is now hiring for an Human Resources Assistant for an automotive manufacturer in the Vonore, Tennessee area.

The schedule for this position is 8 am until 5 pm.

The pay is based on experience and is starting at $18 per hour.

This position requires 2 years of Human Resources experience.


Provide clerical and other support to all members of HR department (i.e. HR Supervisor, HR Representative & HR Manager).

**Essential Duties and Accountabilities:**

+ Coordinator for medical, dental and vision benefits. Serve as contact with providers.

+ Maintain personnel files and terminated employee files for hourly technicians, team leaders and indirect support groups

+ Entry, maintenance, and report writing in HRB System and Time & Attendance system

+ Coordinate all insurance requirements for JATV employees

+ Provide and coordinate functional support to employees on all shifts

+ Consistently interpret and implement all company policies and procedures

+ Assist in and ensure completion of all new hire and termination paperwork

+ Prepare and distribute production technician performance reviews

+ Prepare monthly attendance report.

+ Respond to employee inquiries regarding attendance and other issues.

+ Maintain employee database

+ Maintain employee handbook, distribute revised policies

+ Prepare and distribute employee attendance counseling paperwork and maintain time management attendance database

+ Complete employee action forms for department, shift and rate changes

+ Administrator tuition reimbursement

+ Responsible for termination paperwork for all employees

+ Responsible for maintaining current job descriptions

+ Maintain training files and input training records into system

+ Provide telephone relief as needed

+ Assist in collecting, compiling, and distributing wage and benefit data

+ Assist with data entry and maintenance of training records and files

+ Assist in creation, revision and review of job descriptions

+ Maintain I-9 forms & verify through the E-VERIFY system

+ Respond to request for employment verification

+ Prepare employee photo ID badges

+ Maintain and input into mobile equipment database

+ Support HR employee activities, including Employee Recognition Event, Employee Activity Team, All-Hands Meeting, etc.

+ Work daily overtime and Saturdays and/or Sundays when directed by immediate supervisor or, as necessary, to complete essential job duties.

+ Maintain privacy all of PHI in accordance with HIPAA regulations

+ Perform other duties as assigned

**Supervisory Responsibilities:**

+ This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

**Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

+ Strong organizational skills, able to work well under pressure and manage several tasks simultaneously.

+ Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision

+ Able to handle confidential information and maintain the highest legal and ethical standards

+ Basic knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems

_The above may be waived by the department Manager and the Human Resources Manager if the candidate is otherwise qualified._

**Education and Experience:**

+ Associates Degree in Business or related field, 2 years related experience

**Work Environment/Physical Demands:**

+ Sit with intermittent walking

+ Manual dexterity for such duties as stapling, collating, sorting, filing, typing, and writing

+ Communicate (hearing and speech) with individuals in person and by phone

+ Visually read reports, computer screen, etc.

+ Maintain a minimum of 8 hours worked/day, 5 days/week
