Human Resources Generalist:



**Job Description:** The HR Generalist provides a wide variety of human resource support and assists in the daily operation of the HR Department. He/she participates in various HR tasks and initiatives in areas that include, but are not limited to, Employee Relations, Compensation Benefits, Metrics Reporting and Operations. The HR Generalist is responsible for data entry and maintenance, and assists in ensuring HR objectives, policies and procedures are effectively implemented and communicated. Enters and maintains data in various HR systems; processes new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations in an organized and timely manner ensuring accuracy Responsible for maintaining employee personnel files, ensuring all required paperwork is included. Responsible for completing unemployment paperwork and conducting employee verifications as needed Acts as the first point of contact for employee questions, both union and non-union Employee Relations Assists in the coordination of the grievance process Coordinates first step answer meetings and drafts appropriate response in coordination with management Escalates employee issues as appropriate to U.S. Plant HR Manager Compensation Benefits Acts as first point of contact for all benefits questions at assigned facility, both union and non-union Coordinates U.S. benefits billing and obtains appropriate approval Manages U.S. benefit financial reporting Manages pension plan; files reports as required; coordinates directly with current and past employees to address questions, provide paperwork, etc. Responsible for leave administration across all U.S. sites; coordinates paperwork directly with employees, and updates local HR, payroll and management as appropriate. Assists in various compensation and benefits programs annual compensation planning, annual open enrollment, benefit letter communications, etc. as needed. Conducts market pricing for positions as needed. Works closely with management to update and/or create job descriptions as needed. Coordinates with the HR team to provide support for HR initiatives/programs/projects across company. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment law and practices. Provides appropriate information and assistance to managers relating to established HR programs. Assists with various HR training programs through preparation, facilitation and follow up; rolls out training to employees as needed. Responsible for site metrics and reports; submits required data including headcount, exit interview data, etc. to HR team on a regular basis and coordinates ad hoc requests as needed. Performs other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.



**Skills/Experience:** Education: BS/BA Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required. Experience working with HRIS systems and attendance/payroll systems preferred. Experience: Minimum of three 3 to five 5 years of Human Resources experience in a generalist capacity required. Union experience preferred. Skills/Competencies: Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. Fully Bilingual is a must
