Kelly Services is now hiring for a Human Resources Generalist for a top Automotive Manufacturer in the Vonore, Tennessee area.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8 am until 5 pm.

The pay is based on experience and starts at $21 per hour.


Provide professional support for all HR functions as described below.

**Essential Duties and Accountabilities:**

Provide, as required, supervisory support, direction and hands-on involvement to meet the need of JATV and the HR functions as follows:

+ Assume role in maintaining positive employee relations; including policy development and implementation

+ Provide and coordinate functional support to employees on all shifts

+ Consistently interpret and implement all company policies and procedures

+ Assume leadership role in development and administration of all training and professional development activities

+ Assume leadership role in legal and ethical compliance program and workforce diversity

+ Attend or lead birthday, skip level and other focus group meetings as required

+ Assist with recruitment as directed

+ Oversee achievement of diversity goals and education

+ Support Op & LRP budget and wage and benefit survey development

+ Support and participate in company sponsored employee and community activities via involvement in employee activity team events and the JATV Volunteer Program

+ Comply with all HR and training related quality, health, safety, and environmental management requirements and maintain privacy of all PHI in accordance with HIPAA

+ Work daily overtime and Saturdays and/or Sundays when directed by immediate supervisor or, as necessary, to complete essential job duties.

+ Lead associate relations activities as needed and/or directed.

+ Conduct investigations on associate complaints and support HR and management on the coaching & counseling process.

+ Manage leaves of absence and LOA vendor.

+ Administer benefits

+ Perform other duties as assigned

**Supervisory Responsibilities:**

+ This position has no supervisory responsibilities

**Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**

+ Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; leadership experience

+ Excellent Microsoft Office Skills

+ Ability to effectively communicate on a one-on-one basis, approachable by all employees

+ Knowledge of current HR laws including ADA, FMLA, Workers Comp, TOSHA, EEO, etc.

+ Basic knowledge of OSHA training requirements

+ Ability to routinely work a flexible schedule that supports all shifts

+ Ability to instill trust and gain respect of others, maintain confidential information, fairness, and objectivity

+ Basic knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems

The above may be waived by the department Manager and the Human Resources Manager if the candidate is otherwise qualified.

**Education and Experience:**

+ Bachelors Degree in business related field and two or more years of related experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent level of education and experience

**Work Environment/Physical Demands:**

+ Sit with intermittent walking

+ Manual dexterity for such duties as stapling, collating, sorting, filing, typing, and writing

+ Communicate (hearing and speech) with individuals in person and by phone

+ Visually read reports, computer screen, etc.

+ Maintain a minimum of 8 hours worked/day, 5 days/week
