The Human Resources Manager will be a strategic thought partner to the Executive Management team, responsible for leading and developing the Human Resources function. This is a Direct Hire position with an excellent benefits package and team-oriented work environment The ideal candidate will be very hands-on and actively engaged with personnel, a person with high energy and a sincere dedication to our mission and vision.

The Human Resources Manager develops and implements HR policies and procedures regarding recruitment and onboarding, training and development, compensation, job evaluation, pay and benefits administration, employee retention, personnel disciplinary actions and terminations, and labor relations and grievances issues.

Annual salary: $90,000 - $100,000


+ Develop and administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.

+ Plan, organize and control all activities of the division. Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.

+ Implement and annually update the compensation program; rewrite job descriptions as necessary; conduct annual salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget); analyze compensation; monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary.

+ Develop, recommend, implement, and revise personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain handbook on policies and procedures (Team Manual); perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow.

+ Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt, and temporary workers; write and place advertisements for job opportunities; work with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conduct background and reference checks; extend job offers; conduct new-employee orientation and onboarding process; monitor career-path program and employee relations counseling; manage employee professional improvement and separation/termination processes and conduct exit interviews.

+ Establish and maintain department records and reports.

+ Maintain organizational charts and employee records.

+ Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals.

+ Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of departments and services performed.

+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.

+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current industry trends and changes in applicable laws/regulations; participate in HR seminars/refresher training at least once annually.


+ HRCI, SHRM, or any other accredited HR certification preferred.

+ Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with employees, senior staff, corporate and nonprofit executives.

+ A clear understanding of the importance of and commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of information shared with and kept by Human Resources.

+ Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and handle changing priorities.

+ Strong technology skills in word processing and database management.

+ Must be fluent in MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel, and Google Chrome OS.

+ Strong leadership and management skills.

+ Ability to maintain composure/comport oneself professionally in stressful situations.

+ Committed to learning with the ability to think strategically and analytically.

+ Self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision.

+ Demonstrate ability to be resourceful and dependable.

+ Demonstrated experience working collaboratively as well as the ability to work independently in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
