Human Resources, Payroll and Office Administrator

Direct Hire - $50-$60K

Responsibilities:

Human Resources Administration

Administer weekly payroll utilizing Paychex

Administer and maintain time clock program

Effectively communicate with employees regarding payroll issues

Track time and attendance in payroll systems

Payroll Administration

Administers and processes employee benefits medical, dental, cobra, 401k, life insurance, short-term disability.

Properly maintains employee confidential files.

Processes all pre-employment tasks such as background checks, scheduling drug testing and screening, and drivers record requests including previous driving history from prior employer.

Assemble new hire packets and review with new employees.

Process all employee termination paperwork including cobra forms and payroll forms.

Compile yearly census for health care, life insurance, EEOC, and others institutions as necessary

Process and monitor workers compensation claims

Posts employee benefit expenses to appropriate departments in ledger

Distribute uniforms to employees

Accurately implement, administer, and maintain and safety procedures

Performs other human resources functions as required

Compliance Administration

Review, prepare, and maintain all DOT compliance requirements including inspections, maintenance reports, driver's log, accident reports, supervisor and employee training and monitoring

Maintain vehicle titles and registrations

Order and maintain form from J.J. Keller

Maintain driver-s vehicle inspection reports (ensure maintenance department properly maintains and repairs vehicles as needed).

Maintain OSHA logs and ensure compliance with OSHA procedures

Other Administration

Assist with accounts payable process

Enter accounts payable transactions into Dynamics GP

Process vendor check runs in Dynamics GP

Monitor and resolve invoicing and quantity discrepancies with vendors

Maintain accounts payable files

Performs other administrative functions as required

Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft products Excel, Word, Outlook,

Paychex experience preferred

Time clock program experience preferred

Self-starter, works well with minimal supervision

Knowledge of Michigan employment laws

General understanding of accounting principals

Extremely organized, accurate and detail oriented

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Problem-solving and conflict management abilities

Experience / Education:

4 year degree with major in HR Administration preferred

2 -4 years of experience with human resources, payroll, and basic accounting functions
