**Human Resources Representative** (Temp 2 months)


**Location:** Hayward, CA (Position is ONSITE)


**Pay:** $35 to $38/hourly


**Work Schedule:**


+ Monday: payroll processing day (Start time is 6:00 am to 3:00 pm with 60-minute break)

+ Tuesday to Friday (Start time 8:00 am to 5:00pm with (60-minute break)

+ Must be flexible to accommodate the business needs and able to work Overtime as needed.


Under the direction of the HR Manager, the HR Representative will be a trusted partner to our employees and managers, using their HR experience and coaching skills to assess, diagnose and deliver employee relations, engagement and communication programs and solutions. The position is responsible for both transactional and tactical HR support. The candidate will possess a high degree of motivation, ability to communicate, influence, and collaborate effectively with all levels of employees. The candidate must demonstrate willingness to be hand-on.



**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

Ensures optimal level of customer services and ensures compliance with policies and procedures by responding to requests for information from employees, management, and outside agencies and the public.

Promotes a work environment that supports Employee Safety, Quality Policy, and Baxter's shared commitments.

Manages the payroll process for several plants and works with people leaders to ensure compliance with timely reporting and record keeping compliance.

Manages leave of absences, EDD claims (unemployment, disability, PFL), ADA request, and AAP Goals Assists management and all team members to ensure fair and consistent interpretation and application of Baxter policies and compliance issues.

Data management responsibilities including processing changes in HRIS system (Workday), audits of data, earnings uploads and data correction, and check request.

Supports communication strategy in quarterly town hall meetings, small group meetings, weekly operations meetings, and daily HR tier meetings.

Coordinates new hire orientation and onboarding activities within the facility including verify process.

Supports other Leaders based upon business needs and priorities.

Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy.

Assists with audits, compliance reviews, and other mandatory reports.

May lead or participate in project work to support business or other Human Resources initiatives.

Other duties as assigned.



**Qualifications**

Good working knowledge of HR laws and regulations in particular State and Federal Wage and Hour.

Disciplined action and execution, drive operational excellence, promote teamwork, communicate effectively.

Ability to build strong relationships with strong technology application and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and organization skills.

Payroll processing experience.

Solid experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred experience with Workday HRIS system and Kronos (UKG) for payroll.



**Education and/or Experience**

High school diploma required. Bachelors degree preferred.

1 3 years Human Resource experience.



**Preferred:**

1 3 years medical device or manufacturing experience.

PHR or SHRM CP a plus
