**Outside Sales Engineer-McAllen, Texas**

Kelly Engineering Resources is searching for an Outside Sales Engineer for a premiere provider of Commercial, Industrial and Architectural Mechanical and HVAC Systems. Our customer is an industry leader with an excellent benefits package and a professional, close-knit culture. In this role, you will work throughout the Central Texas Region where you will promote and sell an extensive array of HVAC products using technical knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying our products to their designs. Our customer places a heavy emphasis on relationship selling as well as technical sales methods. You will be responsible for developing new customers as well as maintaining existing customers throughout the designated market. There will be day-to-day contact with customers with occasional entertaining.

You will be the key relationship manager, technical advisor and product advocate. You will articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. You will be assigned a selection of existing accounts and must be able to identify and manage various technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. You must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

+ Establish new customers and maintaining existing customer relationships

+ Record and maintain client contact data in an organized filing system

+ Assist in the design and specifications of custom HVAC products for commercial and industrial applications.

+ Create technical presentations and demonstrate how a product will meet client needs

+ Develop technical specifications for customers

+ Travel the Central Texas region to visit with customers

+ Assist with the estimating of technical requirements of projects

+ Develop proposals and quotations for customers

+ Negotiate and close sales by agreeing terms and conditions

+ Manage sold projects to include developing detailed submittals and O&M Manuals, write up order entry documents and as well as coordinating shipping requirements

+ Offer after-sales support services

+ Meet regular sales targets

+ Support marketing efforts by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events

+ Provide training and producing support material for the sales team


+ Bachelors in a Technical Field, highly prefer Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, required


+ A solid technical HVAC background is preferred but will consider technical sales experience in the construction/MEP industry or relate prefer the following:

+ Energy recovery systems

+ Heat transfer

+ Properties of air & water

+ Duct design and sizing of air distribution systems

+ Minimum 3 years industry experience

+ Sound judgement and good business sense

+ Ability to build and maintain client relationships

+ Consultative sales experience highly preferred

+ Application sales a plus

+ Solution selling a plus

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Professional verbal communication

+ Written communication skills- responsds to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports required

+ Presentation skills required

+ Analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Resilience and tenacity- able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.

+ Teamworking abilities

+ Presentation skills

+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

+ Strong typing and note taking abilities

+ Self-starter
