_Hydrographic Survey Analyst_


Responsibilities:


+ Conduct mechanical and electrical assembly utilizing power and manual tools

+ Organized, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to multi-task, manage time and prioritize projects to meet required deadlines

+ Maintain thorough understanding of the project contract and specification

+ Interacts with crew, customers, foremen, and general contractors to ensure proper job progress and encourage safe work behavior

+ Procure and monitor materials and equipment

+ Monitor and document job site safety and accident prevention

+ Builds and maintains relationships with clients

+ Keeps current with latest applicable technology and techniques

+ Follows all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures; uses/wears all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for assigned tasks.


Requirements:


+ Degree in Surveying and Mapping, Engineering or similar curriculum preferred

+ 2 years or more of field experience in hydrographic surveying in single beam/or multi-beam sonars, GPS/GNSS navigation and digital terrain mapping

+ Proficient with conventional survey tools, GPS equipment and hydrographic equipment

+ Working knowledge of hydrographic data acquisition software

+ Ability to interpret drawings, plans, and specifications

+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

+ Valid driver's license

+ Work overtime and/or weekends when necessary

+ Willingness to travel (capability of staying out for days at a time) and be able to work evenings and weekends as required

+ Ability to interpret and create drawings, plans, and specifications.

+ Effective computer skills including report writing and PowerPoint.

+ Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary group environment as well as individually.

+ Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment testing (drug test, physical, audiogram, pulmonary function test, respiratory fit test) in addition to random drug and alcohol testing

+ Required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb.

+ Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
