Kelly Science & Clinical is currently recruiting candidates for an **ICP-MS Chemist** for one of our clients located in **Garland, TX.**


The **ICP-MS Chemis** t will be responsible for providing accurate and timely results for the samples submitted for analysis to support our manufacturing and research and development departments. Use liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, ultraviolet spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, titrimetry, and other techniques to assess the quality of samples. The resulting data is interpreted by the analyst and submitted for review. The analyst is also responsible for ensuring that the instruments used for analysis are calibrated to industry standards.



**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Prepare test solutions, controls, standards, and reagents for laboratory analysis.

+ Performs routine analytical testing of finished product, bulk in-process, raw material, bench and stability samples in accordance with compendial and in-house methods following GLP.

+ Participate in developing, improving, and customizing products, equipment, formulae, processes, and analytical methods.

+ Compile and analyze test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency and to diagnose malfunctions.

+ Confer with senior scientists to conduct analyses on new projects, interpret test results, or develop non-standard tests under supervision.

+ Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (FDA, EU, ICH, ISO, USP) is a plus.

+ Familiarity with USP, EP, AOAC and other compendial test methods a plus.

+ Working knowledge of analytical chemistry, HPLC-UV/RI/PDA, GC-FID, ICP-OES, protein and fat analyzer, FT-NIR (preferred)

+ Strong computer knowledge is required including Microsoft Office and ability to learn relevant internal computer systems.

+ Ability to multi-task is essential and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Flexible and able to adapt to company growth and evolving responsibilities.

+ Strong collaborative skills and ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrixed environment. **Minimum Education and Experience Required:**

+ BS in Chemistry or a relevant field required.

+ Minimum of one-year experience working as a Chemist in Biotech, Food Pharmaceutical, Medical device, or other cGMP regulated industry or equivalent academic research.

+ Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (FDA, EU, ICH, ISO, USP) is a plus.

This is contract-to hire position with a pay rate of $19-24 per hour commensurate upon the level of education and experience. If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume for immediate consideration.
