Description **_INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER – Liberty, MO_**

We currently have a great and rewarding opportunity for an Industrial Designer to support one of our great clients, a global automotive supplier, at their Liberty, MO location. The Industrial Designer will be responsible for preparing and maintaining drawings of product and facilities.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**


+ Works directly with engineers to develop drawings of product, complementing engineering, production and sales.
+ Overlay, communicate and itemize engineering changes.
+ Be familiar with customer specific requirements.
+ Transfer and manage CAD data.
+ Communicate with Customer, Quality, Production and Management on all concerns, as required.
+ Document and organize plant floor lay-outs.
+ Design tooling, parts, etc. as required – document and organize.
+ Assist in creating technical presentations.
+ Receive and transmit CAD and math data and drawings from various vendors and customers.
+ Produce IGES, DXF, STP and other translation files.
+ Maintain the product drawing files and electronic CAD directories/database.
+ Monitor data flow (data to and from vendors and customers) and follows up with Customers and vendors to ensure data has been properly communicated and completed.
+ Prepare detailed part prints, overlays and modify 3-D model files if required for engineering changes.
+ Supports efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey.
+ Perform other duties as required.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**


+ High school diploma or GED
+ Equivalent to completion of specialized courses normally taught at Community or recognized Colleges consisting of more than 2 academic years (Post-secondary education in engineering an asset)
+ Minimum 2 years related experience is required.
+ Working knowledge of GD&T
+ Working knowledge of SPC
+ Working knowledge of Analysis of motion/Ergonomics.
+ Working knowledge of Mistake Proofing/Poka-Yoke
+ Working knowledge of Control Plan, F.M.E.A., APQP or related experience
+ Must communicate well
+ Must have computer skills (including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Software- CATIA, Unigraphics, Team Center, AutoCAD, JT260.

+ Support and comply with all TS16949 & ISO14001 procedures and work instructions.
+ Support a safe and healthful work environment that is free of recognized hazards for all employees, contractors and visitors.
+ Cooperate with all local, state and federal agencies, such as OSHA or the EPA, in the event of an inspection.
+ Know and follow all applicable EH&S Policies and Procedures.
