**Industrial Engineer**


**Location:** Reno, NV.


Seeking an Industrial Engineer to be located at its Corporate Headquarters in Reno, Nevada to support the optimization and modernization of the company's manufacturing plant operations. The candidate will report to the VP of Engineering and responsibilities will likely vary with the needs of the company.


Primary Responsibilities:


+ Production equipment, conveyance, and human work measurement for operations; utilizing these skills to optimize gross margin through capacity improvement and streamlining operations

+ Factory layout optimization and development to enhance material and process flow.

+ Analyze and report data to meet management needs and recommends procedures updates will be responsible for collecting data, performing analysis, developing countermeasures, implementing the improvement project, and ensuring the desired outcome is sustained.

+ Identify new sources of data and methods for data collection, analysis, and reporting.

+ Capacity planning and plant optimization.

+ The Industrial Engineer will be working in a cross-functional environment to ensure production operates in the most efficient way possible.

+ Optimize the output while reducing non-value added wastes.

+ Implement Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies to improve or solve manufacturing problems by reducing cost/waste or improving quality and/or capability.

+ Work effectively with operations and support functions to translate process improvement findings into sustained improvements and standard work.

+ Analyze labor and equipment utilization to identify and reduce non-value added wastes.

+ Quantify the value of continuous improvement opportunities.

+ Drive and influence change across multiple departments by implementing new standards or improving the existing standards.

+ Determine the most effective methods of processing while improving cycle times, reducing downtime.

+ Monitors expenditures to ensure spending is applied and within budget guidelines. Assists with developing project budgets.

+ Prepares cost benefit analysis for improvements by conducting detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis to determine the feasibility of purchasing new operations equipment; presents analysis to senior management.


Required Qualifications:


+ A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Indusial or Manufacturing Engineering is required and a Master s degree is preferred.

+ 3+ years of relevant experience.

+ Strong communication, including presentation skills.

+ Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a start-up type of environment.

+ Dependable time management skills.

+ Ability to take initiative and work independently.


Preferred Qualifications:


+ Previous knowledge of seismic or structural engineering, preferred but not required.

+ Previous corporate or regulatory research and analysis experience.

+ Fluent in Spanish.
