**GENERAL SUMMARY:** The Information Security Architect is a lead role within the Information Security Technology Team reporting to the Senior Manager of Cyber Security. This position includes both the creation of strategic vision and tactical management of security solutions and capabilities to enable OUR CLIENT to identify, detect, respond and recover from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. The Information Security Architect works cross-functionally and collaborates with various stakeholders to design secure solutions and build standards for how those solutions should be implemented and maintained.


1. Develop technical security plans, standards and solutions to mitigate risk.

2. Provide Information Security consulting to project teams and other departments.

3. Evaluate security of new and existing technologies.

4. Assist with determining Security Metrics and (KPIs / KRIs) for Executive, Management and Operational reporting.

5. Assist assessing security risk of business associates and other third parties.

6. Assist in determine standard security requirement for administrative, technical and physical controls.

7. Manage and respond to Security Event Escalations and Incidents.

8. Assist is conducting and report on Forensic Investigations.

9. Understands the implications of technology decisions within the IAM domain.

10. Oversee, managing and monitoring of core operational security technologies such as:

+ Application Security and Code Reviews

+ Content Filtering (Web, Mail and Removable Media)

+ Data Loss Prevention (Web, Mail and Removable Media)

+ Endpoint Malware Detection, including application allow list

+ Firewalls and VPN Concentrators

+ Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection and Anti-Bot/Anti-Malware

+ Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

+ Vulnerability Management


+ Bachelors Degree / BS Computer Science / Systems and/or relevant work experience.

+ Extensive experience with SIEM Tools, Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention, Networking, Content Filtering Technologies, Data Loss Prevention, End Point Security, Application Security and Vulnerability Management. Knowledge of IT Control and Compliance Frameworks and regulations such as; HIPAA/HiTEch, PCI, SOX, NIST 800-53, ISO27001/2 and CoBIT.

+ 10+ Years related work experience in the Information Security Field as an Analyst / Engineer or Consultant.

+ CISSP, CISA/CISM certifications desired.

+ Other Qualifications:

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and oral and written communication skills

+ Ability to work independently and as a team member across multiple teams

+ Ability to develop, document and ensure adherence to technical standards

+ Ability to independently research and perform analysis to resolve complex issues

+ Ability to understand customer requirements and their impact on technical directions of a solution

+ Ability to successfully communicate technical information to non-technical audience

+ Ability to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately while exhibiting the highest level of customer service

+ Demonstrated success in using the specific tools and technologies required in this position

+ Strong understanding of business processes
